Last nights defeat really shows how fine the margins are between success and failure in the premier league. We could and should have stuffed them 1-4 at their place, yet Villa have come here and done exactly that to us. Thankfully it was only a cup game. We''ve just gone 10 unbeaten, but equally concededed 7 goals in two games! I feel The absence if Tettey has a lot to do with that.

Hopefully Tettey and Hoolahan are fit for Saturday and we can bounce back. Also think it might be time to give benno a run for pilks. This must not be a catalyst for bad form. Keep calm.

Agreed lincoln - a defence with Garrido and Bennett/turner back in will be much more secure.

More importantly we were the dominant team in the second half until the last 12 minutes;  we did collapse a little but we should not throw the baby out with the bath water in an over-reaction.    We had the chances to win which we did not take/Given prevented.

Of their players (based on last nights efforts)  there were only 2 of their team I would like in preference to our own options,  being Benteke up front and Delph.    Add in Vlaar and I would be very happy but CHs squad is the better one overall.
