lappinitup 629 Posted January 2, 2013 "Norwich will table a £3million offer for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray this week.Murray, who has scored 22 goals this season, is out of contract in the summer but Palace will not want to let their top scorer leave and will offer the ex-Brighton man a new deal to keep him at the club." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2255440/Norwich-bid-3million-Crystal-Palace-striker-Glenn-Murray.html
CambridgeCanary 0 Posted January 2, 2013 I know the Daily Mail is a hypocritical and self contradicting joke but even so, how many strikers are we buying a cording to the Mail in just the last week?
Indy 3,297 Posted January 2, 2013 This would be a bigger let down than CMS! Has to be tabloid rubbish, why would we spend 3 million on a 29 year with no premiership experience, no better than we have? I''m starting to worry if we are being linked with this type of sub standard player! surely we will be looking to the future with young hungry players? or shoring things up with proven higher level players. Hughton has something better up his sleeve.
York Canary 28 Posted January 2, 2013 He''s quite a hefty and slow lad. Really hope that''s a crock of ****
Mister Chops 7 Posted January 2, 2013 Sounds like an upgrade on Morison and a player to lead the line in a similar mould to Holt.
First Wizard 0 Posted January 2, 2013 It''ll take more than 3 million imo, nearer 5 mil I reckon.
Cantiaci Canary 556 Posted January 2, 2013 He has scored once in every two games every season since 2007 so at least he knows where the goal is and would be desperately hungry to seize his opportunity. An African named player from a similar standard of football with an equal record would have most fans salivating!
The Doc 0 Posted January 2, 2013 Last season at Palace he was out shone and out scored by Chris Martin and most of the fans thought him a slow carthorse.Decent champ striker having a great season but he won''t be a step forward. Would not excite even if his name was Glenn Mokoena from Standard Liege Mr Cincinati
AJ 1,218 Posted January 2, 2013 Not really any better than what we''ve got, at least, not for that price!
York Canary 28 Posted January 2, 2013 I''ve seen quite a few highlights of him and he is quite a battering ram, but we''d struggle like anything if he was up front on his own as he is nowhere near as mobile as others.
