Mr.Carrow 367 Posted November 22, 2012 As an ex-Snakepitter for about 10 years, it makes me smile when people have a go at it (the cockpit etc....). When we score up that end, where do the players run to to celebrate....?

Mr.Carrow 367 Posted November 22, 2012 Can`t remember Drury scoring, let alone celebrating in front of E Block NCFC4LIFE! One of the main reasons people moved across there in the first place was because it is much easier to create a good row under a low roof, than the other end of the Barclay where half the noise disappears out of the open corner. Have never understood why some Barclay-enders seemed so affronted by this. Usually in the Jarrold or Barclay Upper these days, but still look at t`pit with fondness and respect and have a chuckle about when we got Etherington sent off for not placing the ball properly for a corner, and being accused of racism by some clueless numpty in the national press for chanting "Ulf,Ulf,Ulf" at our legendary Swedish target-man Ulf Ottoson! Harry 0 Posted November 22, 2012 Just love the generalisation of "snakepitters" by people on here, the majority of people who go in the snakepit don''t wear burberry and are quite intelligent, there are obviously exceptions as there are in other stands, myself and others I know that go in the snakepit do so to make some noise and get behind the team we all support. Before criticising us "snakepitters" get your head out of your rear end and see what we are really like, I''m always up for meeting other fans before a match as I don''t hide who I am and Kathy has never made a secret of where she is before matches, go on instead of having a pop at fellow fans come and see for yourself. Or it was at the River End. If you hanker after The Snakepit sooo much why don''t you go there? I hanker for E-Block from my seat with the blanket dodgers in the Jarrold. Badger 2,389 Posted November 22, 2012 shefcanary: "Stone Island and Burberry would stop selling clothes in Norwich?"Sorry Shef - I''ve sat in the Snakepit for years and don''t know what Stone Island and Burberry is, other than, presumably, fashionable items of clothing? As a good socialist being fashionable is something that I studiously try to avoid- a deliberate ploy to shorten product life cycles with built-in obsolescence. Back on topic, having stood or sat in all stands in over 45 years of attending Carrow road, the Snakepit is the best atmosphere by far.
Mungo Bumpkin 0 Posted November 22, 2012 The Snakepit ... it''s all about finkin yur Danny Dyer and not showing up for important cup games because your mum is washing your knick-off Snetterton Market "Berburry" baseball cap.

zemas tendon 0 Posted November 22, 2012 Think you will find that the majority of so-called older holigans have now all but disapeared, from the snake pit a new younger generation who sit near front seem to be the wanna be danny dyer

Gingerpele 0 Posted November 22, 2012 You might as well say Elijah Wood, Danny Dyer was only a football hooligan in one film you know, and he was of course acting, thats what actors do in films, so if anyway was a wannabe Danny Dyer they would be a wannabe actor, not football hooligan...
