Possible new chants

(Nanana hey jude)

NANANANANANANA

NANANANANANANA

Tettey
Did that one take you long?
Trying not to be picky, but isn''t there too many NAs in that, or am I just out of touch?

Most of the songs for these chants are old. 60s, 70s & 80s. Most modern tunes don''t really work so well.

Anyway, how about Ram Jam from the 70s for our midfield sensation.

Best to change the words though....

Alex Tettey (blam-ba-lam)
Go Alex Tettey (blam-ba-lam)
Ma Tettey had a child (blam-ba-lam)
Damn thing gone wild (blam-ba-lam)
He’s always ready (blam-ba-lam)
He’s all rock steady (blam-ba-lam)
Alex Tettey (blam-ba-lam)
Go, Alex Tettey (blam-ba-lam)

I''ve just made one up, it goes like this:-

Don''t sell Garrido

Paddy Garrido

You don''t seem to understand

If you sell Garrido

Paddy Garrido

You''re going to have a riot on yer hands

OoooooH..........

........... Pardon? - Oh suit yerselves then!!!!
It must be harsh to have been done quite so badly.

Try and console yourself by making up Norwich chants to your favourite miley Cyrus songs.
Have I missed something ? How can I be "done quite so badly" by someone who hasnt even read the point to the arguement they claim to have won ?!?!

I never said anything about "winning", although it''s rather illuminating you did...

I nearly pointed out that you were clearly in favour of using a song that''s for Pre-teens to create a new Chant for Norwich. That''s your deal, not mine. I don''t judge.

What "latest offerings" are you most annoyed at? We''ve had the odd little new chant (Elliot Bennett runs down the wing for me..) but nothing of real significance in a while. Biggest one of recent times was probably "just can''t get enough" which ,granted, was nicked. But you should really lighten up and go with it rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. I''m no expert on crowd psychology but I reckon it''s easier to get a chant going with "jingle bells" as the tune rather than a pogues album track from 30 years ago no-ones heard of.

Hang on guys.

I think there is too much emphasis on how cool is the person/group who originally used the tune, rather than what/how witty, the words used are.

I am sure the Celtic fans don''t get embarrassed about using Billy Ray Cyrus''s tune for Paddy McCourt, or a classic from the 70''s. It is all about the words surely?
