......and Smith must score.

Looks like the Posh game could sell out today
I''m a season ticket holder. I can''t see what all the fuss is about. This was a chance for fans who are not usually in a good position, (for whatever reason), to get in early and get some tickets for a Third Round FA Cup Tie at Peterborough. It''s not Wembley; it''s not Camp Nou. When we get there, I imagine the Club will have a sensible and fair policy.
Agreed.

I''m a season ticket holder. I missed out on tickets for the game which was bitterly disappointing. However I can see why the club did it. Christmas is a logistical nightmare for getting tickets out through the traditional ballot system. The club had a small time frame and needed to get it done quickly.

As for the argument about season ticket holders deserving priority. The date was clearly publicised on the website. If you had been organised and desperately wanted to go. You would have got a ticket. I wasn''t and I missed out. That is all there is to it really.

Spot on CY.     As usual the argument created by mungo - whose chief aim in life seems to be how to wind up any situation that he can turn to reflect badly on the club and its fans - really doesn''t hold water.

5000 fans all descending on Peterborough for a great day out.  Brilliant.

Northluck C - In your previous post you said,

"But very awkward it is when you''re at work, 50 miles from Norwich, with your only option being to call a premium rate number on your mobile during lunch hour"

How''s that not misleading? It wasn''t your only option at all, as under the General application process, it''s not one ticket per membership number, so anyone can obtain any number of tickets?

Yes, the demand was unpresidented and, yes, no-one, not even the Club, expected to sell out within eight hours. Clearly, those who''ve missed out will be disappointed, but that happens whether fans miss out in the event of a ballot application process being implemented and over subscribed, or through a General sale, as happened here.

However, the Club is under no obligation to undertake a ballot application process for every away game. The fact is it has done so for all league games this season and the majority, if not all (?), have ended up going on General Sale after the process has finished as the the ballot was not over subscribed.

What is clear is that the Club gave adequate notice that tickets would be on General Sale from 9.00 am on Firday and therefore Categories 2 to 5 under the ballot process became irrelevant. It was a level playing field for everyone. We can argue until the cows come home over the merits of this but the facts remain that everyone had up to five options to obtain a ticket:-

1) In person from the Ticket office.

2) In person from the Club shop in the City.

3) Ring up the ticket office.

4) Buy tickets online.

5) Arrange for a family member / friend to buy on your behalf through one of options 1-4 above.

Yes, I accept that not all of options 1-4 would be available to everyone, but we all should be capable of covering it with option 5. All it really takes is a bit of organisation and pre thought really.

Or.........

Fantastic! An afternoon in the company of fellow Norwich City fans in green and yellow out to enjoy following the club they support
.

......................unlike poor mungo who would rather find something to complain about.
I didn''t get a ticket because i was at work at 7. Got there and no phone signal so couldn''t phone or go online.Tried on my way home to be told sold out. Ihave only missed one away game this season as in group two also a season ticket holder but as soon as we get a local game counts for nothing.
Any friends or family members who know how to use a ''phone or PC?

I woke up at half 8 on the day of sale and bought 4 tickets.  Had I not been organised (I never normally am when it comes to these things) I would have expected to have missed out.Can fully sympathise with those who weren''t able to ring up because of work/etc.We really need to change the app process for away games though.. it''s just awful.
