crabbycanary 2 Posted October 27, 2012 Just an analogy, but what would people think if someone of their kids, say, local sports club, had served that club well for a few years, and suddenly had to leave, because they ran off with a load of money, or was found to have transgressed in some way, or sued the club, which tarnished their reputation. How would they feel about that person? Would they not mention the ''tarnished'' part of their reign , and just keep mentioning the ''good ol days''? What would they do if they saw this said person in the street?
Mr Brownstone 0 Posted October 27, 2012 Depends if he had just cause to sue the club. It''ll all come out in the wash I''m sure.

crabbycanary 2 Posted October 27, 2012 If you don''t understand it , then I will explain it if you wish, but that is disappointing language and non contribution. Lol

Lol[/quote]He didn''t ''run off with a load of money''We''re suing him too, thereby ''tarnishing his reputation''Perhaps a better analogy would be that you''ve been in a relationship that has been improving year on year, though there''s been a couple of arguments that threatened to end it, then out of the blue she ups and leaves you for some ugly munter with a grating accent who was captained the local football team in 1981.Now you want all the gifts back that you gave her and she wants all the DVD box sets you collected together.Oh well maybe not! crabbycanary 2 Posted October 27, 2012 LOL Rivvo - like yours!EGC - it is more to do with how people perceive relationships with things that are very important to them, and what they are prepared to put up with and let go.

crabbycanary 2 Posted October 27, 2012 I''m not accusing him of stealing something, it is a general point that how people react (or not) to a situation whereby someone they entrusted with something that is very important to them, leaves under a cloud, yet how do people react in the future?Do people still greet the ex Treasurer, the ex Girlfriend whatever, with stories of the old days, forgetting the ''cloudy'' reasons for departure? It is the psychology of peoples minds that interests me.
