The best City site on t''net imo, tells it like it is and not tied to the clubs puppet strings.

Oh, and the article is spot on too.

Brilliant stuff written with passion and frustration!

Why can''t Paddy Davitt say something simllar instead of his piece of flowering nonsense today.

Paddy, if you can''t say what you really feel without the fear of the sack why write anything?

You hit the nail on the head Bury, that article was written by a season ticket holder of many, many years, he''s also not in the clubs pocket, unlike Archant''s staff.

I expected ''tongues'' at one point:

I agree Mr Wiz. The piece about the stupidity of people saying "sack Hughton" is particularly good I''m sure you''ll agree.

TBH Lambert always said the same thing but the extra bit he added was always that we would have a go at them and give them a game and not be frightened. That''s the bit that''s missing.

Reporters on the local paper are always more constrained than bloggers, but I think if you read Davitt''s piece carefully he is at least hinting at whether Hughton is the right man for the job, calling him a boy at one point, which is hardly complimentary, and saying at the end that Hughton has got the players necessary to survive, which is a not very coded way of saying that at the moment he is failing as a coach/manager. Between the lines it is actually very critical.

"Premature it may be so early in the season but the feeling Norwich City have reached a Premier League crossroads was palpable after this abject mauling."

"...
cuts to the core of major issues hindering the Canaries’ ability to punch above their collective weight again in the top flight."

"Hughton’s experience as a coach and a manager is his greatest asset right now. A growing number of the natives are understandably restless."

"Hughton at this moment is like the boy with his finger in the dike."

Hughton undoubtedly possesses the raw materials to compete in the Premier League. His task now is to meld them into an effective unit."

No way of knowing if Chris Hughtons attitude towards Liverpool at his press conference was also prevalent in his dealings with his team.   You can respect your opposition but you mustn''t give an impression of holding them in awe.   If he wants to follow an example he should follow Bill Shanklys'', who would never discuss the opposition, considering it an insult to talk about any other team at Anfield.    For team talks he placed 11 counters on a model pitch representing the opposition, picking them up one by one he would toss them over his shoulder saying things like "Champaign Charlie, bloody useless!".   With around three or four counters left on the board he would state "You''ve only got four players to beat, go and do it!"

Liverpool were made to look good on Saturday.   If Chris''s team talks are anything like his press conference he needs to change his tack and focus on the oppositions weaknesses.   Norwich have some very decent players, they need to be played in the right way, a way that suits THEM which may not be the same as the manager would LIKE them to play but as they often say - you work with what you''ve got.

Rodgers'' potential undoing?   Tick tock tikky takka trying to be a Barcelona - can''t make silk purses etc.   Contrary to what some think this is not a turning point in Liverpools season in my opinion.   Chris ''s press conference would have been more motivating to Liverpool than probably Brendans own talk, assuming they listened to it.

Norwich won''t go down - they will eventually get it right.   The solution will come from Europe in January!

Thats the beauty of the site, you don''t get assaulted for having an opinion..........even a changintg one!

So it''s a collection of blogs then? Where the opinion isn''t challenged?

I think it''s a poor article, post, blog or whatever you want to call it. There''s nothing happened to even suggest it was full of good points. If anything Rodger''s comments about referees worked against him. Refs don''t like people publicly criticising them and even calling their integrity into question. Suarez had a stonewall penalty not given on Saturday.

As for the game itself, we didn''t show any more respect to Liverpool than we did last April. In fact there were many similarities between Lamberts performance and Hughton''s. But at least this time we had more of the ball and scored 2 goals.

As soon as fans are disappointed they love anyone who writes a blog, post, article or whatever you want to call it that critisises their target of blame regardless if there''s any foundation to it.
