McKenzie has come good?

Recommended Posts

Over the last few games i think McKenzie has started to form into the sort of player i had expected at the beginning of the season.

He is working hard but doesnt look so much like a headless chicken.

He uses his strength very well.

He is being more creative.

he has more confidence.

does anyone agree?

I don''t think it''s any coincidence that he has come good since playing along side Ashton. The two work well together.

I was going to raise this topic,

But was just waiting to see if any of his constant knockers would come forward with something to say now he has proved them wrong !

I have to say he has been just as helpful to Ashton as Ashton has been to him.

Some people on here have also been critical about his first touch over the past year or so.  IMO his first touch yesterday was the best I''ve ever seen from him, and I too think it''s no coincidence that since Ashton''s arrival Leon appears to have a new lease of life, which has to be promising for next season...and don''t anybody start up the ''Deano''s leaving'' rubbish.  He''s going nowhere.  The club would not be daft enough to let their best and most expensive asset go at this very moment in time.  That would be like commiting footballing suicide and would be the last thing that the club would do under the circumstances we''re potentially facing.

Yes he has improved.  He looks more focused and not just running around.

Lets hope he doesn''t get too good and start catching the eye of other clubs!!

I will admit I have at times questioned his touch and his rather poor goals tally compared to his appearances. However the last two home games he has looked very good along side Ashton and he was brilliant last night with his passing, especially for the goal. I''ve never questioned his commitment and thought that if he was more controlled in how he ran about then he would become a very good player, and thats whats happening. I think that we probably will have the best attacking threat now of the teams that will go down. Hucerby Ashton and McKenzie being backed up bt Svensson Crow and Jarvis. Now for the defence.

I wouldn''t be the slightest bit suprised, if Leon maintains his current form, it''s quite possible, that another club may put a bid in for him during the close season......

i am 100% confident he will be at norwich next year. he has scored 3 in the last 4 home games now and is looking really good. now he is getting the goals, along with his hard work.

I said at the start of the season that he would come good and start banging in the goals, and he''s proving me right.

Shame it had to come so late in the season.

But hey, at least we''ll have easily the best attack in the championship next season with Leon and Deano and all the defences will be bricking themselves at the sight of them and hucks down the wing. OTBC

Just in case anybody forgets, in their fulsome praise of  McKenzie ,   it was a perfectly judged pass from Hucks  that made it easy for him to score !! ......   most of the goals we HAVE scored this season  [ few as they are ] have been courtesy of his crosses .....  I`ve said this before , and I`m saying it again , Ashton and Hucks would be a far more lethal combo  up front ... why ?  because Ashton needs the experience ,skill , and unselfishness of Hucks to enhance  his own goal poaching instincts  , McKenzie  , IMO , is NOT partnership material !!  .... he needs to be fed a stream of  perfect  passes  before he DOES score ..... still a headless chicken !
