Baldyboy 1 Posted October 4, 2012 I for one refuse to pay a 200 per cent increase to attend this game!!! Have they got no sense at all, maybe somebody should ask McNasty and the mob at tonites love in how they can justify this price?
Legend Iwan 30 Posted October 4, 2012 A comparison of prices against other Cup matches.Reading v Arsenal is £15 for season ticket holders and £20 for non members whilst they offer an u21 ticket as well s cheeper 65+ and u16 tickets.Ken Bates is charging Leeds £24/20 depending on where you sit, and again cheaper concession tickets for the match against Southampton. Swindon v Villa £20 adultsWigan v Bradford £10 adults £5 concessions
Lord Horn 0 Posted October 4, 2012 I was expecting maybe £20 for this - don''t they know there is a recession on (again)!!!! Having been to the last two matches I may have to join the number of ST holders not partaking in this one so thereby joining the army of Mungo Bumpkins ''fairweather'' fans. Two penneth 0 Posted October 4, 2012 Won''t be going then. Went to Scunthorpe and Donny games but can''t afford this. It does seem to me that ticket sales are a bit slower than last season anyway. Games seem to be going to general sale more frequently than last year, at least that''s my impression. Don''t remember Chelsea away and Spurs away ending up on general sale last season but may be wrong. Has the novelty of Premier football faded? or are people worse off like me? and if the current form of the team continues, will ticket sales slow further?Shouldn''t think there is any worry at the moment because games are selling out albiet a bit more slowly. As for the cup tickets if only fans like myself who went to the early rounds, and games like Peterborough away pre season, which I also went to, could get some kind of discount. Never going to happen though I know.
Jim Smith 2,598 Posted October 4, 2012 Time for people to take a stand against the clubs ticket pricing policy and not go to this match to show McNally that the club cannot take the fans for granted. They get away with some obscene pricing for league matches largely because it does not affect most of us who are season ticket holders and those who bear the brunt are the away fans and the more casual fans.Someone needs to raise this at the fans forum and also make him aware that if he continues down this road and it carries over into season ticket prices then he risks eventually alienating a large section of our support because people simply cannot afford to shell out the sort of prices being charged now on a regular basis.Whatever he may claim I simply do not believe that in the context of a premiership clubs budget these days ticket revenues are as crucial as he recently made out. Had they charged £20 (£10 concessions) for this match i think people would have paid that and we probably wlould have got 20,000 plus for the game. We will be lucky to get 12,000 now. PurpleCanary 6,371 Posted October 4, 2012 £30 is absurd, but no-one should be surprised. It is entirely in line, as Jim Smith indicates, with the Bowkett/McNally policy on pricing. Scrap the pre-adult casual category, so a 16-year-old has to pay the full whack. Have a three-category pricing system last season that existed effectively in name only, with only one game in the lowest category, and 10 of the 19 in the top.And this season (now with an A+ category) looks to be carrying on in the same fashion. So far two As and two A+s. And since one of the As was QPR that has pretty much set the standard. If QPR is an A there are not going to be many Bs or Cs.In terms of maximising revenue NOW it is fine. But in terms of attracting in the next generation to fill that 35,000-seat stadium it is a nonsense. In the long run it is counter-productive.
norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted October 4, 2012 £30 is a ludicrous price to play to watch a defeat in the Mickey Mouse Cup!
morty 0 Posted October 4, 2012 I shall moan about this, but ultimately probably go(If I''m in the country)We''re fans, it doesn''t follow any logic or sense, and rarely provides value for money. When it comes down to it, they have a product we want, and its up to us if we want to pay it or not.For the record though, I think they are making a mistake on this one. The morning of the Fans Forum! People will now probably focus on these prices now, rather than a long post mortem into recent football results. Expect some movement on these prices in due course. Waveney Canary 0 Posted October 4, 2012 30 quid to watch a game between 2 premier league clubs is an average price to be honest. Stop moaning about the price and get yourselves to the carra to support the team

Kirby_86 0 Posted October 4, 2012 This needs to be brought up at the fans forum tomorrow night. It is a shameful and excessive price to charge for a League Cup game and as previously mentioned casual prices for members to attend a Premier League home game have shot up as well, even from last season. The club needs to start listening to us the supporters who have been loyal to the club over many years.Ive been a fan for 17 years and seen many ups and downs and stuck by them with a loyal heart. Many supporters have supported NCFC a lot longer than me and im sure at least some of them will feel the same.... Drayton Green 0 Posted October 4, 2012 This Cup game v Spurs was an ideal opportunity for the club to give something back to the supporters, i went to Doncaster game for £10 which was a fair price albeit for watching a reserve side , £30 for next game, no way and i can afford it !. nutty nigel 7,902 Posted October 4, 2012 Reading v Arsenal tickets : - Prices for season ticket holders, until 5pm on Wed 3rd Oct:£15 adults, £10 17-21s, £10 65 & over; £5 16 & under Advance prices for non-season ticket holders:£20 adults, £15 17-21s, £15 65 & over; £10 16 & under Advance prices for non-Members, and all purchases after 5pm on the day of the game:£25 adults, £20 17-21s, £20 65 & over; £15 16 & under http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/arsenal-league-new-tickets-396773.aspx But what would have been the reaction on here if McNally had looked after season ticket holders this well! It''s also worth noting our club''s pricing for under 12s. Yes £30 is harsh but if I take the grandkids I''ll probably be better off than the Reading fans! morty 0 Posted October 4, 2012 I know this is not going to be popular, and I''m seriously not trying to troll. This is life. Norwich City is a business, not a charity.Whilst I can understand the wailing, the fact is they have a product that you want, if you can''t afford it, well thats sad, but a fact of life I''m afraid. Its like whining about the price of going to the cinema, if you can''t afford it, you can''t go. Kirby_86 0 Posted October 4, 2012 There is a slice of truth in what you say morty and your are entitled to your view just as much as anyone, but a bit of the club giving something back would go donw well, especially at the moment. After many of us have supported the club for a long time and stuck by the club through great and grim times i can totally understand people being hacked off at this latest ticket pricing by the club. You could say its football being a business as whole which is the problem. It isn''t just the club....its the system.

Go support someone cheaper?Give people a loyalty discount if they can prove they have stuck through thick and thin?McNally could argue that seeing his Premiership team in the last round for a tenner, kids for a quid, was the thank you. They have us by the balls and they know it. Drayton Green 0 Posted October 4, 2012 ok so Norwich City is a business, my maths says 13,000 paying £30 = £390,000 receipts, against 27,000 paying £15 = £405,000.

Two penneth 0 Posted October 4, 2012 I suppose if I look at it as a business I shouldn''t feel bitter. It''s like a luxury product being discounted for a couple of weeks and then returning to its proper price. I then might have to wait until I buy it again, thing is, I don''t need to buy it. It''s not a necessity.
