Tumbleweed 106 Posted October 6, 2012 Immense today. Great goal from Holt and Hoolahan was at the centre of anything good we did, held the ball up well, solid passing and despite the mistake which led to the 3rd goal ran his socks off. Chelsea fans around me all commended him. Holt looked back to top form, some very nice touches and had fire in his belly. But Holt and wes had no support, the big difference was Chelsea got their men forward in a unit giving themselves options and they did it quickly. Ours was too slow and limited, meaning they could get back and defend well. Howson made some good runs in the second half but had no one other than Holt to look for. Garrido and martin hardly got forward at all. This is either deliberate or a lack of pace required to then get back to defend, but we actually looked pretty tidy at times in the second half when we had numbers up.But why oh why bring on Morison for Holt. It was crying out for Jackson with some little through balls from Wes cut between Luiz and Terry. And although Pilks made a good run, I would have preferred Snodgrass who would have created more chances than Bennett did on the right.Tettey looked tidy at the start but then faded from view as the Chelsea midfield took control. So some small positives today but the gulf in class was huge and some better tactical decisons are required if we are to have a chance of surviving. Chunky Norwich 0 Posted October 6, 2012 Couldn''t agree more. Although I don''t think Jackson was even on the bench. And E Bennett on the right all day long.
Skerritt 0 Posted October 6, 2012 Jackson was on the bench and would have liked to see him come on instead of Morro. Very happy with Holty and Hoolahoop, remind me a bit of Messi and Iniesta ;)
