Big Vince 318 Posted October 3, 2012 What a dreadful run of form our chief executive has had the last 6 months! Prior to the end of last season he was the Messiah II, Lambert being Messiah I. Now it looks like he just got lucky with Lambert, it was no midas touch, otherwise it would have endured. Look what has happened. First he said Holt was too old for a new 3 year contract (perhaps he was right on current form) and lots of dirty washing was put on public view for all to ridicule. Then he put the boxing gloves on his desk saying he would fight any club nail and tooth to keep Lambert. The boy simply outmanoeuvred him by resigning and there was no fight to be had. Then he said the boys Culverhouse and Karsa would be staying as part of an expanded coaching set up, only for them to leave as soon as the Villa put some dough on the table. Then, finally, he brought in a defensive manager to manage an attack-minded bunch of players. Result? Bottom 3 and falling............Solution? On current form: McNasty, Hughton and Turner Out. On current and previous form (1996-2009) Delia & Wynnie Out. Solution no.2? Any billionaire and Gussy Poyet In.

Mcnally is starting to show several chinks in the once impervious armour.

norfolkchance1 0 Posted October 5, 2012 I think we should have a NPP (Nonsense Per Post) rating just above the post count. I''m sure Big Vince would win the pound for pound category contest with his 32 posts which have been made over the last 5 years.

Big Vince 318 Posted August 30, 2018 Only a Delia supporting numpty would dredge this up in a desperate attempt to justify the continuation of the status quo. That post was accurate for the time when it was written. Times change and arguments change over time and so history gets re-written. McNasty is thus now to be judged over the whole period of his tenure, good and bad.Hughton turned out to be the wrong choice, although it seemed a good appointment at the time. Lambert was a complete unknown who came good in a big way. Neil had an instant impact, but got found out at Newcastle and was never the same thereafter. This is the nature of football. It is an inexact science. McNasty overall tried to make the best decisions based on who was available, what their track record was, what their experience was and whether it was relevant to the needs of Norwich City at the level they were at at the time. So with McNasty at least the right boxes were being ticked in the appointment process. When the Suffolk Socialists have been left to their own devices all the wrong boxes have been ticked and so all their appointments, bar Worthy, have failed. Given that McNasty was taken out of the appointment process with Adams, his strike rate of 2 successes in 3 appointments is vastly superior to anything compared to the Suffolk Socialists. BroadstairsR 2,138 Posted September 1, 2018 "Given that McNasty was taken out of the appointment process with Adams" Err where is your evidence for this statement othere than blind prejudice."There was something array about the whole thing ... certainly not a football decision, imo.I consider it the most ridiculous decision the club has made in all my years of supporting. The timing made us a laughing stock and Hughton should have been sacked earlier or at the end of the season. He might even have kept us up.The appointment of the novice Adams virtually amounted to throwing the towel in with, what, six games still left of the season.
