Redders Right Foot 22 Posted August 30, 2012 over the summer months, I have seen a few people say they would much rather have Rhodes over Hooper, but why?yes, the SPL doesn''t provide much competition for celtic, but most of their teams would be able to hold their own at least at championship level, whereas Rhodes has made his name in the third tier. regardless, I''d love us to sign Hooper, but I don''t think it will happen, although a few Celtic fans i''ve spoken to disagree with me. Jacko 0 Posted August 30, 2012 I would take either to be honest. I genuinely believe both could do the business at this level.
Redders Right Foot 22 Posted August 30, 2012 I would of liked either, rhodes at 4.5 initially seems like a fair grabdon''t think hooper tho, can''t see him leaving Champions league, unless he has the mindset of "we''re not winning it anyway"

If you compare their scoring records like for like when Hooper was at the same age as Rhodes is now (ie, when he was as Scunthorpe) Hooper scored 43 in 80 and Rhodes scored 62 in 93.They''re both fantastic at putting the ball in the back of the net, however I''m of the belief that Hooper is slightly more rounded, and has that extra experience that would be valuable for us. However, I''m sure Rhodes will end up being a fantastic top level striker
CDMullins 498 Posted August 30, 2012 Id guess the logic is, They both played at a very similar level last season and Rhodes scored more
