booing

Recommended Posts

There was clear booing when our first sub was made. Any ideas what it was for?? My impression was disappointment at Jackson coming off as he was looking like our most likely scorer, but was it that or Holt staying on or morison coming on? Any views?

Um, I was there too mate and it was most definitely morisons milwall connection. Unless you were booing The team on your own, which wouldn''t surprise me.

Surely this very easy to clear up ...

Who booed and what for?

Simples.[:D]

It was quite clear on the tv just not clear where it came from. [:^)]

Jackson did ok today but if people we boing his substition becase he off his running and playing off the shoulder of the last defender etc etc should remember that all of that counts for absolutely nothing and is a waste of time and energy if you''re offside for the vast majority of the time ,which he was. Morison made a huge difference when he came on against Spurs and it was right that Hughton gave him the chance to do that again?

You mean........all those camera angles and slo-mo replays that Bly was telling us about couldn''t work it out? [:^)]

Who''d have thunk it? [:O]
Holt worked his balls off for us today, or did people not notice this?
It appeared so on TV Wiz.

I''m worried he will look anonymous on the goal highlights though...

Holy was alright, bit his best, but people want to beat up on him because they''re stupid, I understand it perfectly. If you shouted at him today you don''t know what your on about and should be ashamed. End of.

Fair enough, Nexus. Like I said, I wasn''t there. And in truth, I had hoped we didn''t have ''fans'' booing the team/player during a match four games into the season. But if you are correct I can only presume that is the case.

I sit in E block of the Lower Barclay right near the away fans and I didn''t hear a peep from the West Ham fans. To me it sounded like it was coming from the Snakepit/City Stand area. There was certainly no booing in my area, but there were more than a few grumbles at Jacko being the man taken off.

Nobody seems to have considered that he has travelled a lot of miles this week and was most likely taken off because he was tired.  As ever Jackson worked very hard but never looked like scoring.

But someone must know. All this conjecture is bad for my nerves. Mr Brownstone pinpointed it. I knew I''d get some sense from E Block[;)] So you snakepitters and biscuit chasers.. who did you booooooo at[:^)]
Holy was alright, bit his best, but people want to beat up on him because they''re stupid
Let me try a different view:Holy (let''s call him Holt) was alright, not at his best, but people want to beat up on him because he held the club to ransom over the summer for a contract extension, and now he''s got it he hasn''t reciprocated by upping his game, or even playing at the same level he managed for most of last season.  He looks half a yard off the pace and has started moaning at team-mates more than last season and one conclusion to draw from this is his appetite (on the pitch) may not be what it was.A bit more nuanced than "because they''re stupid", but perhaps you have a deeper insight on this.

Did you not see the excellent strike from just outside the penalty area that their goalie only just tipped over??
I''d forgotten about that tbh and a very good shot it was to but I don''t remember him looking like scoring any other time.

Yawn, whatever. You know who you are. Terrible support from some sections today and I did make it know to those around me that felt the way you do, and I wasn''t polite.
