Militant Canary 0 Posted August 6, 2012 Why Swansea?
Lavanche 0 Posted August 6, 2012
Why Swansea?
He was on a loan there earlier and has told to be admirer of their game.Anyway not a bad deal if it comes trough. He has some serious firepower and we would get Vaughan back after a year.
paul moy 235 Posted August 6, 2012 Not exactly a prolific goalscorer. Keep Vaughan I say !!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvin_Emnes
marvin the martian 0 Posted August 6, 2012 I''d rather keep Vaughan
Yellow Green Army 237 Posted August 6, 2012 Yes please, Emnes is absolutely class. Would be really happy if this came off, with the added bonus that we get Vaughan back again after a year. Would give Vaughan plenty of game time at Championship level and finally prove that he is over his injury problems.I just have a feeling that Norwich are not 100% sure about his long term fitness. Tangible Fixed Assets anyone? 0 Posted August 7, 2012
Not exactly a prolific goalscorer. pete_norw 0 Posted August 7, 2012 Keep Vaughan let them have C Martin.
Viva Marc Libbra 0 Posted August 7, 2012 Emnes is dreadful. A mate of mine is a Boro fan and can''t wait for him to go. He is lazy, selfish and has a terrible touch. Scored a few (tap ins) early in the season then went through long baron spells.I''d rather have Vaughan any day.
Hoshke1 2 Posted August 8, 2012 "I just have a feeling that Norwich are not 100% sure about his long term fitness"You''re kidding!I thought they were 100% sure!
CambridgeCanary 0 Posted August 8, 2012 Apart from not being sure what a baron spell is (something you do once a knight?), I think you find that you could take that description and apply it to most players. There are plenty on here would say the exact same about Morison, Hoolahan and Martin yet the majority would disagree. On WACCOE they say the same about Snodgrass. We disagree. Your mate is entitled to his opinion but it is not gospel for us to rely on. I''ve long been a fan of Emnes. He has great talent which flowered a bit at Swansea. He is currently ok in a poor team. I like him because I think there is great scope for improvement and not because of what he is today. He destroyed Cardiff and gave us the ability to win promotion at Portsmouth. He is capable of good things.
Viva Marc Libbra 0 Posted August 8, 2012 Alright I disagree with you so you attack the auto correct on my phone. Well done, gold star for you.Anyway I''d rather trust a Boro season ticket holder (and his family) with no reason not to give an honest opinion on a player. Overrated, over hyped and no better than Jackson.
Evesham Canary 0 Posted August 8, 2012 Started last season well but tailed off badly - sure he scored in most of the first 7 or 8 games last year. Has a bit of pace but not really sure he is better than what we have - Jackson scored 13 in our Champs Season and spent half the season on the bench!
CambridgeCanary 0 Posted August 8, 2012 Yes, it was a silly jibe and I apologise. I was in a flippant mood having just had root canal at the dentist. My basic point that every club has fans who don''t rate players is a good one though and whilst I respect your friend''s right to his opinion, I don''t accept it any more than I accept ncfc''s opinion of Holt or Paul Moy''s opinion of Chris Martin. Viva Marc Libbra 0 Posted August 8, 2012 Happy to agree to disagree. As you said everybody has a right to an opinion and everybody else has a right to disagree with it.One thing I can say is that if we do sign him (which we probably won''t) I''ll be 100% behind him and would very happily be proven wrong!! I think you may be in the minority now whereas I was in the minority last year. I hope you googled ''root canal'' before you decided to have it done..... smooth 114 Posted August 9, 2012 Marvin Emnes - No Way.The season we were promoted he was awful, if I recall correctly he did score against Cardiff tho. This guy is not at all what we shoudl be looking at.

I also believe that amalgam fillings, crematoria and smelting-works poison us as mercury is one of the most toxic metals known to man. Silly me.....

JF 694 Posted August 9, 2012 I have heard this rumour that Emnes and Davies are coming in and that Wes is on his way. If Wes goes it will be a big mistake, he is one of our only PL quality players imo.

Let''s give him the time to succeed or fail. He was not my first choice but I''m willing to give him a chance.
KeelansGlove 0 Posted August 9, 2012 Dont fancy Emnes but must admit I have been wondering about Wes. We seem to have an abundance of riches in midfield. I wouldnt be shocked if he turned up at AVFC. Just hope we get a lump of cash if he does. Was talk of Hughton wanting to give him a new contract, gone quiet recently.
