HoneyBadger 0 Posted August 21, 2012 On Saturday we started a new chant to the tune of marching on together it goes:-Marching on together, We''ve signed the Leeds midfield,Johnson, howson and Robert snodgrassThey now love Norwich, Norwich, NorwichLoop.Thank you to the one man who joined in with us. We could do with some new chants. We also tried out -You''ll never turn the turner! But as this is factually incorrect we will scrap that one.
Chelmsford Canary 0 Posted August 21, 2012 I was sitting very close to you boys, and thought it was very good and catchy. Also nice to laugh at Leeds!Ironically Fulham seemed to turn Turner quite easily!!Good work lads - I like it even if no one else does
votepedro 0 Posted August 21, 2012 i feel a bit uneasy about taking another team''s song.. i wonder how it would feel if another team changed the words to otbc and took the piss?

Yobocop 1,444 Posted August 22, 2012 Yeah I have to admit it felt a bit cringy hearing that, I thought some youths may try this. Unfortunately it just makes us look even more like country bumpkins as no one could understand your words and thought you were just singing the Leeds anthemBack to the old drawing board I think
mel0 0 Posted August 22, 2012 I thought it was funny but I was too far away to join in.Keep at it.
HoneyBadger 0 Posted August 22, 2012 I like being labelled a youth. I will take that.In my opinion it is far better than ''leeds are our feeder club'' and it is suppose to be tongue and cheek. When you start new chants people just stare at you and then criticise without offering any sort of constructive feedback, ie. other new chants. How about you all just join in. It is great fun and was one of the only positives of the weekend. The last 5 minutes of the game when we were all chanting sets away fans apart, whatever the result we support the side.
Yobocop 1,444 Posted August 22, 2012 I could have been far more offensive but it takes guts to try and start a chant. I probably would have thought of different lyrics personally
e10_yellow 0 Posted August 22, 2012 It made me laugh out loud on Saturday, keep it going!I heard another one walking to the ground but didn''t catch all the lyrics - Ohhh Bradley Johnson, something something, he''s f''in hard, he came from Dirty Leeds because we won the f''in league - ONE!, something something - can anyone fill in the gaps on that one? I probably would have thought of different lyrics personally[/quote]I understand life isn''t all a bed of roses and everything isn''t always to everyones taste but again you are not offering any constructive feedback.Furthermore you are being contradictory at first you felt uneasy at using the tune now it turns out you don''t like the lyrics. Here is an idea how about you come up with a chant or improve the lyrics for everyone.I doubt after Saturday Hughton sat down with Turner and said ''that was just awful''. I''m pretty sure he would of said ''that was just awful, next time don''t turn your back on a shot or get so tight to strikers.'' Constructive feedback. You are really not coming out of this thread smelling of roses.
Bill 1,788 Posted August 22, 2012 "but again you are not offering any constructive feedback " just as the chant is not offering Leeds any constructive feedback in regard to them being sh it
SwindonCanary 457 Posted August 22, 2012 For Saturday and after last Saturday it''s gotta be an old chant --- ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK !
It's Character Forming 1,204 Posted August 23, 2012 What made me uncomfortable about this chant on Saturday (I was sat close enough to hear it) was that our midfield looked like it was made up of players from League 1/the Championship. A neutral might ask why we''ve brought in the Leeds midfield when we finished above them in both L1 and the Champ ?
Yobocop 1,444 Posted August 23, 2012 Ok we get it you have a problem with Michael turner I was trying to compliment you, if you didn''t want negative feedback though why put it on here? I felt uneasy about us singing another clubs song and I thought the lyrics were a bit basic. End of story. I''m sorry if this upsets you but that''s how I feel. There may be people who like your chant but don''t get upset when people disagree with you, there''s too many people on here like that already. I''m not going to offer you any ''constructive critiscm'' as I''mNot either your boss or teacher
