According to Sky Sports Dawson deal with QPR is off. So we won''t be seeing him on Saturday....

Saw that others are now sniffing around Dawson - shows the value of keeping things quiet a la Norwich; certainly seems that deal might not happen by the weekend if at all. Was also wondering whether they''d have time to get Carvalho sorted for the weekend as is presumably an international transfer along the lines of Garrido, which takes time to get through.

QPR might have gone public, but I''d imagine if someone bids for a player, without it going public the club or that players agent might let other clubs know... Can''t imagine no one other than us and Spurs knew about the Bassong deal.

yep GP, pretty much how it is

 

we nipped in and signed Bennett when he was on his way to Swansea so someone was still talking/negotiating etc even at that late stage

 

ps I wonder how much howling and shrieking would we have heard (and still continued to hear) were that event to have been the other way round ?

Tony Fernandez spoke on a qpr radio show and said we are still in talks. Papers have said Apparently we offered 60k a week he wanted that plus a load of bonuses we said no.
