Naughton and Davies would be my two. I think that defence would look very strong then. I would shift Russell Martin inside and regard him purely as a centre back with him, Turner, Davies and Ryan Bennett being the main competition for the centre half area.

I doubt there would be much change available afterwards but I would possibly have a gamble on Charlie Austin. Always been pretty impressed when I have seen him. Decent physical presence about him and knows where the goal is.

I think Naughton would top my list. Then a forward like Wilfried Zaha who would flourish in a better team. Maybe bring Pacheco back too.

I''m not happy with the somewhat mediocre signings and the failure to address the squad with quality defensively - but I''m prepared to at least witness the selected eleven garner a mere 3 points from the first four matches before getting heavyweight on Hughtons socialist anus.

I think it''s safe to say that I already miss what Lambert would''ve brought in if allowed on the monetary side of things.

we need a left back for sure and i would go for liam.ridgewell from wba also worked with hughton at blues but sold him so dont know if he wanted to sell him or he had too.i would pay up to 3million for him can play cb as well and has played lots of prem games.jamie mackie from qpr for up to 4million.the rest of the money to be spent on a very good young loan signing or a 19 year old brazilian we could sell on in a years time for 50million

Curtis Davies for £3m, Kyle Naughton for £4.5m and Liam Bridcutt for £2.5m.

Still would like another striker in but would have to offload Chrisy Martin, Leon Barnett and Simon Lappin to fund this.

Since making the above post Hughton has acquired Garrido, Bassong & Tettey, so no complaints there where mediocre signings and strengthening the squad defensively are concerned - am I happy that we have indeed garnered a mere 3 points from the first four matches? Am I going to get heavy on Hughton''s socialist anus?Nay, the goals, hence the points, will come - we''re not going to thrash anyone, but I foresee enough odd goal victories for a similar finish to last season.Posters who know me will tell newcomers that I''m seldom if ever wrong - so keep it real, keep the faith and ffs stfu with the mind-numbing bollo*ks for posts. You credulous bunch of tw@t-flaps.

To those mentioning Pacheco, I''d have thought you''d see plenty of change from £10m. He''d be a good shout in terms of value if he could be got for around £1m.
