New arrivals!

Recommended Posts

There will be plenty of speculation, I believe this week we will make a move for Curtis Davies after all the open talk. But who knows, just hope that who bring in does fill the holes that we have.I believe Bradley Johnson is good enough for that defensive strong midfielder but I believe he needs to be pushed.Of course none of us know what Hughton will see and if he will change the formation slightly. But I do expect Curtis Davies being pursued and rightly so we need to improve our defensive group and certainly that defensive midfielder would also add to this.

Johnson had a great start here, he looked strong and I think PL used him very cleverly in terms of when playing teams who were going to bully us. It will be interesting to see whether CH adopts this approach, or uses his own ideas to overshadow teams. PL went for rotation and it worked wonders, it made us unpredictable and interesting to watch. Im excited to see how CH sets us up, but I think he will employ a defensive midfielder. Maybe Akos could give us a threat from those edge of the area positions?
After already capturing Whittaker and Butterfield. CH looks set to add to his new arrivals to Carrow Road.Davies, Miyachi and this guy...http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7901933/Buzsaky-set-to-sign-for-new-clubhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAgbG8chaCsHe has a wonder shot behind that right foot. Could be a good addition
I think Buzsaky would be a good addition, especially on a free. He''d played in Porto in the Mourinho-era, and besides the piledriver shots, he cultivates a Portuguese style technical, passing football that would fit our style better than QPR''s (who are always after big-time Charlies anyway.). He''s a very good pro, (with an immaculate disciplinary record) and a decent lad as I experienced it personally a few weeks ago when (during his holidays) he answered questions in my son''s football club as a star guest. As he was signed by QPR back in the Championship, so he was probably on a significantly lower wage than the likes of Barton, therefore his expectations could be in line with our wage structure.

This is one of those well duh! kind of posts.

Curtis Davies - has been linked with us ever since Hughton came onboard.

The Arsenal chap has been linked with us since January - even to the point of a season long loan.

Buzsaky is a freebie and so far as I can see hasn''t been linked with us. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7901933/Buzsaky-set-to-sign-for-new-club

In addition does he offer more than say Hoolahan? Or Butterfield even?

In summery nothing I can see here that I haven''t already appart from Buzsaky who I''m not sure of being a great improvement on what we have. Back to my chilled out relaxing Sunday then.

Agreed. I focused upon his attacking threat he disposes. But, his passing and moving play must be appreciated aswell. Your right Chicken, we have Butterfield and Hoolahan; but I think an experienced man can only help out our squad. A free kick specialist, goals and assists combined. He looks a good aquisition....for a free transfer. Whoever picks him up will have gained a good player.

Davies and Miyaichi I think might happen but Buzaky makes no sense whatsoever. We are overloaded with midfielders of that type. He''s not a holding player, he''s an attacking midfielder and we simply don''t need any more of them. Can''t see it.

I think we need for definitely are:

Left Back

Centre Back

A Defensive Midfielder, Winger and Striker would be nice if can find at good price.
Spot on, Tangie. Bennett''s a hell of a player. Would be very happy if we went for him.
.........another bennett?could end up as a commentators nightmare.

Davies is the obvious centre back choice.Bennett looks a good talent at left back, wonder if Rusty Martin will put a shift in there this season with Whittaker on the right? The good thing about our players is that they are all very versitile. Elliott Bennett played at right back and looked as comfortable as anyone. I agree, another striker is needed. I would however, like to see young Chrissy Martin given a shot at the top level. Ive always been an admirer of his style of play, Lambert did say he was the best finisher in the squad after all!
