Has anybody heard if we are getting any compensation for Lambert if so how much.Or have the board made a big mistake on failing to agree compensation before Lambert left or walked out.

How is it a big mistake

 

If Lambert walked out on his contract we are entitled to be paid the amount left on his contract

Whether we got compensation or not is not a huge issue.  Surely we have moved on from this?    Things happened how they happened,  no need for accusations or  cries of foul about the board.     The outcome should please everybody.   We have a bright new manager, PL has moved on - we have probably got the better deal in getting a new manager who has so much more experience than Lambert.  

 

 

Money isn''t everything, situations arise that are out of your control sometimes. Just be thankful we are where we are and progressing as a club.

That is nonsense. You can''t seriously be suggesting that IF (and I have no idea either way) there was a mistake at board level that has cost us £1m or more in compensation (which could have gone to the player budget) we should be pleased about that?

Who said anything about being pleased??    I just said things happen that are sometimes out of your control.    The outcome, however, is good because we end up with a better manager.    Sometimes people are looking for problems where there aren''t any...........

Ok,  just to be clear..... I did say pleased  - pleased that we got a good new manager, not that we may or may not have lost out on compensation.

The idea of a manager walking out of a contract could easily be overlooked and so we offered him a contract that made no reference to that possibility

it''s not as if he will have had to draw up/check over any similar contracts, is it ?
