What Positions Still Need Strengthening?

Do we need any more new players in this window, or are you all now reasonably happy with what we''ve got? I would like to see another striker brought in for competition of places, but otherwise I''m quite happy now. What about you?

We definitely need more midfielders, the fifty eight or so we now seem to have just aren''t enough. Maybe we can raid Leeds a couple more times, if they have any players left?

All fo them, our team is rubbish. I doubt we''ll pick up even one point with this bunch of amateurs. I mean what have they ever done before?

Of course we can''t buy anymore players, because Delia has stolen all the premiership profit and is building a castle made entirely of Dutch Cheese just outside of Ipswich, the club she really loves.

All these questions about strengthening the squad as if something is wrong are unnecessary really.   Its like saying by needing to strengthen we are somehow weak. This is not the case.

 

 

You can have your cake and eat it. We have a good strong squad AND we can strengthen further!  The two are not at odds with each other.

 

We should always be looking to strengthen the squad and we should be happy with what we''ve got.   Simples!

Left back, Right back, Center back, Striker.I will remain worried about the season ahead until we add quality in positions where we have lost players. Snodgrass looks a decent player but we are going to have to drop quality to play him... meanwhile we have 1 left back, nobody totally convincing at right back and shaky or inexperienced at center back.We need to tighten up at he back AND have more scoring options. Points are going to be harder to come by this year I think and we need a greater number of reliable goalscorers.

Whatever positions are to be strengthened the players must be Premier League experienced, Look what happened last season when we ignore the whingers and whiners.

 

They would also need to be league cup and FA cup experienced as well, as we play in those competitions. Maybe ''friendly'' game experienced would help as well.

Left back is our weakest position. I think it''s the only one where we don''t have another natural player who can fill in. I''m sure if needed Whittaker could play there but I would really prefer him not to adnsee if we can either get someone who is better for Tierney or poach an up and coming prospect from another club.

There are plenty of people who think we are weak.  Post after post of people saying "such and such is cr*p, ship them out".     There is a constant belittling of players on here.     My point is that you can be content with the squad and want to see it strengthened.    Some people would rather have it as black and white.    "We''re not happy"  "Stengthen the squad so we can be happy"  -  But then some people are never happy.......................
