The most iconic NCFC related picture of all time

Recommended Posts

What would you say is the most iconic NCFC related picture of all time?

I have selected a few candidates:

Gossy''s goal v Bayern Munich, this one sure lives long in the memory

Martin''s last minute header v. Leeds, pretty much sealing both promotion and the championship, what a day, what a moment

Robert''s scores the ''golden goal'' at the Millennium Stadium, lump in the throat stuff even now looking at all the fans behind the goal

Awful kit, awful moment, was this the beginning of the end of Gunny''s Norwich City fine goalkeeper career?

Norwich City players celebrate Dean Ashton''s goal as Manchester United''s Wayne Rooney looks on during the Barclays Premiership match at Carrow Road, Norwich, Saturday April 9, 2005.

Poor picture in terms of size, but Rooney looks on as Norwich take a 1-0 lead at Carrow Road, what a day....

Simeon''s goal v. Portsmouth to effectively seal promotion to the Premier League, is it this picture thats the iconic one though or others from that awesome day

So now its your turn, what pictures can you find/remember from the past that have lived long in your memory?

Personally the picture of Simmy scoring the goal which took us to the premiership stands out for me. However I feel that Goss is more iconic for older fans who know how important and iconic that goal was for us. It''s a shame barely anybody was actually there though!

There is one of the aftermath of the Justin Fashanu goal, with Clemence lying on the ground thinking "What the hell happened there?"which I can''t find. Only this not so good image:

Have to say the Gossy photo is the most iconic for us and neutrals, but personally the Chris Martin/Lappin one so perfect, that that gets my thumbs up as favourite.

(Does anyone know where i can get a high-qualty copy?)

Wot no snap of Simeon last minute goal against Derby, probably more important than Portsmouth goal.

Agree with Pete^^. Picture of all the players celebrating with the fans after Simmo''s last minute winner against Derby would be mine. Anyone able to post it ??

That picture of Chrissy Martin is why I''m so loathed to see us ever sell him. I think of all the (many) late goals we scored in the past few seasons, that was the one I went the most absolutely banana''s for!

I''m with Mr Chops: in terms of a photo, it has to be Steve Bruce turning away after scoring the semi-final goal v binners in ''85 - though I the have in mind a slightly different pic. But there''s plenty of other good uns, clearly :-)

I''m tempted to post the "Tractorgirls" one linked to in a thread on here earlier, but good taste prevents it. Can''t get it out of my mind though sadly.

The op asked for an iconic picture of NCFC of all time, not just the last two years.    The Gossy one does it for me.    It stands the testament of time.   You could make a statue from it that would grace Carrow Rd.   The other pictures are great pictures too, but the Gossy one, given the goal''s importance in our Eupropean adventure as well as it''s  sheer grace and spectacle  - well, it just is the best.    It eclipses any of the photos from 1972, or 1985, or any of the promotion year pictures, great though they all are.  It''s indelibly fixed into our consciousness as a club.  It has to be that one, for me.

Has to be the gossy one for me. Whenever I talk to anyone not norwich connected about norwich they mention two things Delia smith and that night in Munich with that goss wonder goal. Our biggest moment. When little norwich beat mighty bayern
