Sooty57 403 Posted June 17, 2012 Would rather have Roeder back as manager than see that animal pull on a Norwich shirt.
Lurd 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Will be interesting if this does come off but I trust Hughton to get the best out of any player he brings in.
Zak Van Burger 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Barton is on a widely reported £70,000+ per week with three years left on his contract. A fair chunk of bartons earnings over the years have come through his ownership of his own image rights. There''s a financial incentive therefore for barton to act controversially and get his face in the papers. What people are proposing is that barton walks out on the £11m QPR owe him on his current contract then cleans up his act thereby waiving all those fees for his sensationalist behaviour from the papers to come and join us on a likely maximum pay of 15-20k per week.Yeah right that''s going to happen isn''t it?So for Barton to move here we''d need:1) us to want him. highly unlikely.2) QPR to want to sell. Highly likely3) Barton willing to accept £50k pw pay cut. Highly unlikely4) us to get rid of half our midfield. To give him somewhere to play because bottom line is he is not good enough to improve our team.5) Johnson would have to leave because Bartons a bully and he already knows AJ won''t be bullied by him. Aggy 755 Posted June 18, 2012 Didn''t Barton have something like the worst successful pass percentage in the division at one point last season? Average premiership player at best, and with all the furore around him that average player comes with far too many risks (and probably too much of a fairly unjustified wage). City penguin 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Wouldn''t mind bumping into him in the city on a night out though!
