Worthy Out

Recommended Posts

No, I haven''t gone mad, but the thread below about Worthy staying got me thinking.

In the past some of our best managers have come "through the ranks"- remember Brown from Bond, Stringer from Brown and Walker when Stringer reached the end of his shelf life (I still remember those great words of his).

Anyone know what the current thinking is on bringing on someone in a similar vein? I am not sure I would be hugely happy with the current assistants but we need to recognise that Worthy is not going to be here forever and we need to plan for when the dreaded day does come. Brining in totally new managers always seems like a huge gamble to me. So when Worthy is Out (for whatever reason, hopefully old age!), what then?

I have a feeling that Keith Webb may be that man - failing that, I think we should try and entice Chippy back from Australia to run the academy, then work his way up to the top job.....or possibly big Iwan?
