Darlo dumplin’ 0 Posted June 1, 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18299155Had been wondering about this - a practice that would be common place in business, have no doubt that our chief will be ensuring exactly the same terms for us, so lets stop worrying about who player-wise goes to Villa this season! Pyro Pete 2,353 Posted June 1, 2012 Just wondering how an agreement like this is lawful? If I was a player at Swansea and wanted to be employed by Liverpool, how could a completely separate employment agreement affect my choice of employer? The agreement must surely only be a gentleman''s agreement. Or one where Liverpool agree to pay some kind of excess fee on top of any normal transfer fee should they break the agreement.

Until your contract expired, at which point you would have your right to play for whoever you wish.
