Mccarthy?

Now I know we all love to hate on the golden scum, but he has a proven record on keeping wolves, whom I consider a pretty poor side in the premiership.

Now im not that saying that were a poor side, but im sure he could help steer us from relegation.

We finished 12th. Aren''t trying to sell any players and have said we aim to sign more players... So why on Earth should we be considering ''keeping teams in the Premier league'' as an attribute we look for!?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way! Never!

Proven track record of cr*p football, relegation battles, thuggish players and moaning interviews.

We can do so much better than that!

Yet another manager who''s name is well known but whose achievements are outweighed by his failings.

No. His teams play very dull, interesting football and along with the likes of McLeish, Megson, and a lot of the other old school managers I hope they do not get decent jobs again, for football''s sake.I personally want someone interesting, who plays decent football, over almost everything else (apart from a strong CV). Someone like Gus Poyet would be nice, or Di Matteo if Chelsea bin him. Or even Ian Holloway.
We finished 12th. We are far from an established Premier League club and at this moment in time, with the club being in limbo, I would take 17th next season, as would/should Swansea. Then we can kick on from there with the new manager, who will be able to properly assemble his own squad and progress.

Steve Bruce and now McCarthy wanted by some of our fans.  Christ on a tartan rug who next Joe Royle?  "He used to play for us you know". Roy Keane, "deserves a 2nd chance at management, could use his Man U connections to help us".  I tell you who I want, someone who would do a better job than me.  That''s the aforementioned out of the running then!  By the way - I''d be awful.
Like I said in my previous post, I agree with The Ambassador in that our focus next season should be keeping our heads above water. We are a club who are in limbo at the moment, will be behind everyone else (except Swansea and West Brom) in planning for the new season and if we think we are an established Premier League club already after one good season, we are deluded. Our aim for this season should just be avoiding relegation with our new manager, and then looking to build next summer if (and it is a big ''if'' right now) we survive with the new manager''s ideas and players.

It did.
