BedsCanary 0 Posted April 4, 2005 We''d have finished off Crystal Palace rather than sitting back on the opening day of the season...Huckerby had been that one fraction of a second quicker than Ledley King at WHL...We''d have taken just one of our many, many chances at the Hawthorns...We''d have defended that Blackburn corner...We''d have prevented Duncan Ferguson from scoring in the last minute...We''d have played just three more minutes injury time against Middlesborough...The ref would have given the handball against Liverpool...We''d have prevented Duncan Ferguson from scoring in the last minute... (again)...we''d now be mid-table. Had maybe just one or two of those events occured, we''d be outside the relegation zone. 7 points isn''t alot you know, but thats football
Al Yellow 0 Posted April 4, 2005 yeah, next time we come up we''ll have to issue lucky rabbits feet, horseshoes, the correct coloured pants and black cats with every season ticket

NavMan 0 Posted April 4, 2005 Exactly Tumbleweed. People keep running on about the hard luck stories we have had this season but it all turns itself around in the end. As many as we have had go against us then we have also had those go for us. OK you may get more or less of one but at the end of the day we are where we are because we are useless and have gone consistenly downhill since Christmas making ourselves sometimes the laughing stock of the Premier league. West Brom. Palace and Southampton still have a good chance of escaping (although two of them will fail) because they have showed the desire and willingness to stay in this league. Ourselves we have given up with a whimper and accepted our fate a long while before now. I did not expect us to survive in all honesty but what I did expect was a fight to the end with possibly more points on the board in what must be an all time low for getting relegated. I know there are still 7 games left but cant see us winning any of them and any talk of winning away at Palace and Southampton is a bloody joke. In my opinion we have let ourselves down and have not approached this league with any confidence with talk of us modelling ourselves on Charlton (who got relegated) in the minds of the players from the outset. We have been easy prey for most teams and those 3 we have beaten must be wondering what the hell they did wrong.
no1canary 0 Posted April 4, 2005 definately. and u cant forget that handball by fleming at man city on the line.so its a 2 way street. whichever way u look at it, we are going down because we are not good enough, not because of luck. which is exactly why we couldn''t defend the dickov and fergerson headers, keep out johnson and not score against brom.
