They both have about as much chance as Wolves playing Premier League football next season . Holts form has tailed off a little lately and he has not even been seeing out 90 mins for City while Wellbeck has caught the eye with a couple of goals and plays for a "big" club . As for Ruddy , he is just too prone to the odd error or three , he makes Rob Green look like a safe pair of hands .Good players for City , yes , England class , no , not even close.

I am assuming this quote refers to the Olympic squad, one we knowe Pearce will be picking, and if so David Beckam should cerainly not be included.

Pearce is a phoney anyway. You can tell he doesn''t think outside the box but just goes by what the book says and clearly always makes sure he says the right thing to the right people.

weird Welbeck got no where near the squad when he was at Sunderland now he is the next big thing, well overated imo. Pearce will go with the same old faces at the end thats what every England manager has done and that is why we continue to win FA.

Welbeck has got a bit to learn and his finishing isn''t always the best - though he did score a beauty at the weekend.

 

However, he keeps Hernandez and Berbatov out of the team at Utd and they''re both class acts so that tells a story.

He was talking about ''Team GB'' although he also went on to say he has the England squad for Euro 2012 pretty much worked out - if he is given the job (which I increasingly think he will be).
