Mistakes that we had to learn from

We have seen it throughout this season games where WE have gifted the opponents goals.I can recall a few where Martin over run it and the opposition ran past our static defnece at half way and scored, similar thing happened with Whitbread, Wigan away with De Laet and today terrible defensive mistakes. I don''t mind us doing them but when they are fundamentals and I believe that once you have done it you do not do it again.Today goal 1 was from Fox did not have his positioning right to receive the ball. I recall a game where Bradley Johnson did a similar thing, pick up the ball from our back four when his body position was facing our goalkeeper and the opposition got in and tackled. You do not recieve the ball while facing your own goal, you are angled so you are looking forward and aware of those around you.Secondly, as mentioned on ESPN''s commentary you take the ball and player out with a strong tackle. It is a simple thing to do even a foul that far out would have been appropriate. The second goal should not have happened, a number of their chances came from our mistakes and yes it is an exceptional team against our players from league 1 etc, but they need to learn quickly you cannot make these mistakes anymore.Not a great use of our wide men, Morison had absolutely no support or any play that was going to help him, no corsses in the box for him to attack and to be honest when our first shot was 50 minutes in to the game from EB, it proved why we were out of the game. You cannot go through a game without a shot on target till that point, the wolves, everton games were similar with our fist shot on target about 35 minutes into the game. We need to be going for goal more often and actually being a goal threat.I did not expect anything today as Liverpoll not only needed and wated a win, they demanded a win. With the run they have been on, if they had lost or drawn today it would have been a disaster. I don''t mind that but I do not apprecaite the same mistakes, we were made to look like a team in the lower divisions today and we have seen that a few times. These mistakes were appauling and hence we deserved to lose 3-0, we have not learnt from our mistakes previously and although we played to Lamberts system, again it proved that we need players.I cannot wait for the summer transfer window, we need it. we need it!!!We need the spine of the team.

Completely agree smooth, it wasn''t Liverpool that were too good, it was us that gifted them a victory. Come on, they didn''t really have to dig deep to earn their much needed victory. Like you I am very worried...especially ''cause we didn''t create anything in the first  40 mins. We desperatly need players...
