2 wide players not playing wide?

Was it just me, because I couldn''t see through my rain soaked glasses (amongst everything else I was wearing being drenched!) but it seemed to me that both Pilks and Elliot Bennett did not offer anywhere near enough out wide? Pilks started well, but once Liverpool scored, that changed, and Bennett seeemed to play far more in a central role, than playing to his natural strengths. The full backs seemed to offer a more attacking option than our wide men

I did notice Pilkington standing out wide a number of times but seemingly ignored when he could have been played in.

I noticed this esp first half Bennett kept drifting over to pilks wing and was often within arms reach of pilks. It gave us no option the other side of the pitch apart from if Martin got forward.
