No Quarter

Oh come on!

Recommended Posts

This has been a long, hard season. Our team of Championship and League 1 players have played the best football of their careers, week in week out. Following that final big push at Spurs which pretty much guaranteed our survival, yes they have dropped the performance level slightly. Is that not to be completely expected, and totally understandable?? If you are punching way above your weight week in week out, of course it''ll catch up with you, especially when the pressure is off. As Lambert has stated, what we have achieved this season is nothing short of a miracle, especially as we were favourites to go down. They must be KNACKERED! So, before we bitch too much about losing against some of Europes top players, lets just think about what we HAVE achieved this season.

To be honest if you accept this and admit that it''s totally expected, understandable and that the fans should forgive a lower performance level then why aren''t the club lowering the ticket price?

I mean if it''s only 90%, 80% or even 50% of the standard performance level then the fans should be entitled to a rebate, a similar level of performance?

No? Oh OK, we''re still watching Premiership football right?

No, I''m not denying an incredible success story this season has been with the players we''ve got and I only accept that some of them are League 1/Championship players but when we settle for mediocre then our monetary support should reflect that!

That''s not the case is it? We have to be proud of our club, our team and as supporters we should give our 100% (which we haven''t been vocally btw) but we should continue to be demanding too!
