militantcanary 0 Posted April 30, 2012 I just thought I would point out that many posters in early Feb had this as a scenario:Redknapp to EnglandMoyes to SpursLambert to EvertonNow its not happening I would eat my proverbial if Paul Lambert went to West Brom, Aston Villa is a possible, ditto Liverpool but not that a strong a one.So what 442 billed as the biggest managerial merrygoround in history last month is simply not happening.Don''t get me wrong Paul Lambert may still leave, but if would have to be one of the 10 biggest clubs in England ie Everton maybe but not Wigan, A Villa maybe but not Fulham and so on. If there isn''t any suitable vacancies he will be still be here in August
norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted April 30, 2012 When West Ham fail in the playoffs (haha[:D]), they might be looking for a new manager[:D]
Zak Van Burger 0 Posted April 30, 2012 Mark Hughes is much too ambitious to stay with QPR when they go down, Fernandes might just get it into his head that PL is the man to get the best out of Barton and the rest of that overpaid bunch of has beens and sick notes.[:S]
Mister Chops 7 Posted April 30, 2012
Mark Hughes is much too ambitious to stay with QPR when they go down, Fernandes might just get it into his head that PL is the man to get the best out of Barton and the rest of that overpaid bunch of has beens and sick notes.[:S]
That only works if Lambert gets hit on the head and loses 90% of his IQ. Though he may then get more out of the players by being "one of them".
militantcanary 0 Posted April 30, 2012 To reiterate he will not go to a club in the top 10 or clearly one of the top 10 biggest clubs in England, A Villa may just fall into this categoryHe will not go to the Championship, no way no how.I do think he will need to start next season well to move into the top bracket ie Spurs etc
Syteanric 1 Posted May 1, 2012 well none of this is going to happen now is it!Lambert to WBA?
Son Ova Gunn 165 Posted May 1, 2012
well none of this is going to happen now is it!Lambert to WBA?
No but I do see Malkay going to WBA if Cardiff fail in the playoffs which would disappoint me if Lambert was then to go as I would see Malkay as a genuine contender for our next manager, love what hes done so far. Being a very similar sized club to us it will be very interesting to see the candidates for the WBA role.
blahblahblah 2 Posted May 1, 2012 <Devils Advocate>I could see Lambert at Liverpool. Not now, but eventually.Or maybe, in a season or two, possibly when Fergie realises that he can''t replace Scholes and Giggs, or compete with the bottomless pit of cash down the road, and if we do well, then the Man Utd job might be available ?</devils advocate>
Bill 1,788 Posted May 1, 2012 I don''t think any City fans seriously expects Paul Lambert to remain with us until he is Fergie''s age. What should be noted is it is the same ''names'' who gleefully leap onto any chance to inflate any storyAnyone who as any association with the simple binfolk (I work with a couple) down the A140 will know this is about the last hope they have to cling to. However, even with their limited intellect, they know that their witterings on here will play no part in where Paul Lambert manages, but it might, just, cause a bit of dissent on here.So don''t be too concerned when these little fellas pop up. The relegation hope for them has gone, so when this one dries up it will be a player being sold by ''ambitionless'' Norwich, most likely Pilks or Ruddy.Sad days indeed, for the rustics of poorman road.
