The Goal Threat

Left back suggestions

Recommended Posts

Jonathon Parr of Crystal Palace. 23 years old, 6 appearances for Norway. Can play Left back, Left wingback and left midfield. Noted for his work ethic, fitness and runs from full back. Looked good for Crystal Palace (highly rated by their fans) this season and was part of a pretty good Palace defence.

Tierney with Drury as back up.

Far too many positions that are more urgently in need of reinforcement to be worrying about bringing in a left back when we''ve got two, both of whom have shown they can do us a job for at least another season between them.

We should bring in at least 2/3 defenders, one/two quality CB''s, we have too many mediocre players there. Ward, Barnett, Ayala. Any suggestions? Carlos Cuellar is out of contract at the end of the season.

And a FB, a two footed one who can play at both sides.

What about Lars Vilsvik, Norwegian international, naturally two footed, good crosser and passer, can play at both backs.

How about Tottenhams young left back Danny Rose, played well while standing in for Assou-Ekotto this week. Maybe part of the Naughton deal?

Am i the only one who thought Ayala actually looked quite tidy!? If i had fully fit defenders my first two would be Ayala and Whitbread!

In terms of LB i''d have to say Joe Bennett. Forget his name in terms of the rest of the defence (which would be classic) he is a class, young, determined, English (no decisive factor, just saying), left back who has a big future ahead of him.

Would be a great signing!

Ditto for Ayala, has the real deal in him, keep him fit and get his confidence up and then we build the back around him.

What so aswell as the player Spurs dont want to sell us, you want them to throw in Danny Rose in aswell?

In all seriousness, we have really missed Tierney

That would be 4 Bennett''s and a Barnett, Gordon.
