Salopian 1 Posted April 10, 2005 It was a great result, something to remember for years to come. There were good or great performances from virtually all the players. Shackle has shown that he can do it week after week, but even Fleming improved. But it doesn''t make avoiding relegation much easier. It has to be maintained, for the rest of the season. We can''t relax, -to use a cliche, every game is a cup final. It should give us confidence. The second goal was the kind of counter-attack, at pace, which we used to do so well. Let''s hope for more! But Manure were poor up front. They created more chances than we did, enough to bury us. Perhaps our tactic was to concede midfield possession, - they certainly had far more, but their finishing was very poor for international players. And perhaps for our once luck over penalty decisions went our way! This is a great, but it has to be repeated against hungry teams and against strikers who will be more accurate.
