Help, advice,assistance, clues please

Recommended Posts

This morning at 08:55 I called the ticket office and also tried to log in to Online Ticketing. Ticket office not open; Online ticketing not yet showing the Liverpool game. At 09:00 I called the ticket office and was told that the phone queue was full. Online ticketing told me that there was heavy traffic and not to navigate away from the page. Tried the phone every 5 minutes and never even got in the queue. When I eventually got on the Online Ticketing site at 11:00 I was told the Liverpool game was sold out. I am a Super Member.

Can anyone please give me some advice on queue-jumping, cheating, bribing, anything! Would love a season ticket but the cost of travel from Cornwall makes it impossible to attend regularly, although we have managed 5 home games this year. Super Membership is no longer worth it if it doesn''t work, or maybe there are just too many Super Members now.

If the answer is to wait until we expand the ground, then so be it, but are there any "tricks" on how to get through FIRST?

Actually, with hindsight, and maybe partly answering my own question here, I did manage to get tickets for Wolves after 3 hours of trying so it''s related to demand.

This is is a real problem that won''t neccessarily go away if we expand the ground. I feel sorry for super members who have managed to get tickets during the past few seasons only to find they can''t get them this time round.

Putting a post on here in the hopes that a season ticket holder who can''t make the game will see it is perhaops a forlorn hope but you never know.

The club''s buy back scheme is a joke and if my ticket was spare I''d much rather it went to someone in your position than went into that scheme.

Long term maybe with another 3 or 4 people in the same boat as you could get your name on the waiting list and then share the ticket? Maybe use it 4/5 times each?

Sorry I can''t help with how to beat the system. A system which doesn''t seem to work very well!

A piece of advice Mr Clotted Cream, and not clambering over the fence into the River End or trying to impersonate Delia (I got caught out when the drinks came round) but that your very noble request may well elicit a geat reply/trick etcbut if it is posted up on here you will soon be back where you were as everyone esle will be using that methodso perhaps I could add to your plea by suggesting anyone who can help this fella, to advise him they have pm''ed him and send the info direct to himotherwise good luck

You have a PM.

Nutty I agree about the buyback scheme I know several season ticket holders that don''t bother to use it and just give their season ticket away to friends for any games they can''t meet.

Allowing fans to use a service like Stubhub would be a great solution but as the club won''t make any money from it I can''t see it happening.

Davo, I''d never heard of stubhub so I just took a look. I don''t think that would work for Norwich tickets. Especially ST holders who couldn''t make particular games. And if a ST holder can''t make the game then selling his ticket for profit doesn''t sit right with me. TBH in that situation I''d rather give mine to a fan on here than use the club buy back. But as Duncan and Jellytot share their ST next to mine they would usually use mine if I can''t go.

Thank you City 1st and that is exactly what has happened. I have received some excellent support and advice via personal emails that should help me in my quest. Thanks to all who have responded.

Realise this is a bit late- but I might get torn apart for this. But on Facebook I''ve had 3/4 separate posts yesterday morning from Liverpool fans who managed to get tickets in the home end.

Incredibly frustrating for those Super Members who are actual Norwich fans (instead of just getting it for when the big boys come to town)

I am not a believer of if they pay they money they can sit where they''d like. Maybe in League 1 when we weren''t filling every single week. But now we are in the position where we sell out virtually every match so away fans often manage to get tickets in the home areas which is very frustrating for fans like the OP.

I realise it''s impossible to police- just frustrating for those of you who can''t afford a season ticket/live too far away.

Welcome to my world! Its a world where tickets for the ''lesser'' teams are freely available to us supermembers who go to home games and even away to places like West Brom, Stoke, not to mention cup games against MK Dons and Burnley. But that cosy arrangement comes crashing down when the ''big boys'' arrive in town. I was very lucky to get in the phone queue at 8.55 yesterday and finally got a ticket at 9.20. It had crossed my mind to go to Carrow Road and queue as I had done for Chelsea at home, but I''m glad I didn''t, the lady on the phone said that the first person she spoke to in the queue as she was coming in had been there since midnight! Was this a frustrated and determined Supermember or a glory hunter I wonder? As for Buy back. There is not enough incentive for season ticket holders to use it. However I was very grateful for the person who did so allowing me to get a ticket for Man U a couple of hours before kick off!

VML if Liverpool Fans have got tickets in the home end hopefully they will be found out and ejected and if their tickets have been passed onto them by Norwich Fans I hope they will be banned from Carrow Road.

Unfortunately,  some fans will sell on their tickets to  ''ticket collectors'' presumably at a good price and then the tickets are sold on at an inflated price.   I don''t know how often it happens at Carrow Rd, but certainly this happens.   If Liverpool fans get in to home areas, this is almost certain this is what has happened.

With all tickets coming from fans with customer numbers the tickets origin can easily be traced, as I said in my earlier post I hope they get banned.

[/quote]exactly the reason not to sell tickets to anyone on here LDC.the best way is to return them to the ticket office for a refund.. i am sure they will comply as they have the seat to sell again.

Whilst I accept that season ticket holders are free to pass on their tickets to whoever they like, it does annoy me that the two fellas in the row behind us have not attended the Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd games so far this season and on every occassion an "away supporter" has ended sitting in them. It was particularly irriating when Giggs scored in the 93rd minute and one of them jumped up and screamed at the top of his head that they were going to win the league

That would annoy me too Gary. Maybe next time those people attend you could point out to them that there are many committed City fans who are unable to get tickets this season having been able to support their team in the previous two seasons.

If you''re still around buddy I have you down to make the final selections on 14th April. Is that ok?

Nutty, the point was made and a rather kurt reply received along the lines of, "they''re my tickets, I''ll do what I like with them." (This is minus the few expletives also expressed at the time!)

I would be delighted to pick for the 14th April. My recent absence has been down to being unable to log on, rather than lack of interest, although today, for this first time in ages, I''ve had no problems being able to post!

It''s that attitude that gives season ticket holders a bad name. I wouldn''t mind betting those tickets change hands for top dollar too! I think us ST holders get a great deal and shouldn''t abuse it. The ticket is paid for so if I can''t go I just give it to family. If they couldn''t go I''d give it to somone, like Leeds Canary who''s struggling to get a ticket this season. I don''t think anybody should profit by selling their ST.

14th April is yours [Y]
