claud 0 Posted April 11, 2012 A chequered past as an individual but a rising star of radio punditry. He''s currently championing the Grant Holt cause on Twitter, and has the big man in his starting XI for the Euro''s. He''s also getting a lot of positive responses from all across the country. Well played, Stan!
BW 0 Posted April 11, 2012 Wonder why he loves us so much i know we are good and grant is fantastic, but he does seem to make that extra effort with us?
Cappsy 0 Posted April 11, 2012 he was at White Hart Lane on Monday and on talksport gave us endless praise labelling us as the best promoted side. He said we are able to mix it up, very direct, high pressure, ball on the deck, route 1, narrow, wide, the lot. He also said we had a plan B and also rubbished the theory we''re just a nice club, he said people should take us more seriously. On top of that the Grant Holt Twitter loving today as posted by the OP!
Mister Chops 7 Posted April 11, 2012 His English teacher was a Norwich City fan. Maybe it rubbed off on him.
Kidderminster Canary 0 Posted April 11, 2012 He always has a soft spot for us,I spoke to hime before the first home game V West Brom in the Holiday in HotelHe said then we would survive this season
Mr Brownstone 0 Posted April 11, 2012 He''s proving to be an exceptional pundit, as is Gary Neville. If you''re on Twitter and don''t follow him, Stan is definitely worth a follow, talks a lot of sense.
William Darby 0 Posted April 11, 2012
Wonder why he loves us so much i know we are good and grant is fantastic, but he does seem to make that extra effort with us?
When I''ve heard him, he seems to really like Paul Lambert. He also seems to like the perceived under-dog having a go at the big boys.
ryan1992 0 Posted April 11, 2012 He was on talksport last week, and said Holt was the best English striker behind Rooney in the League and if he wasn''t picked for England, it is a ''travesty''. then the next day, on one of the phone in''s, he actually phoned in to praise GH. He really seems to like NCFC and Holt in particular!!

Bethnal Yellow and Green 1,557 Posted April 12, 2012 Ah, Stan. He is a decent pundit and obviously knows football well having lived through the highs and lows - he also realises that to gain popularity it is best to sing the praises of the smaller teams. No one will get noticed/popular saying Man City and Man Utd are good - because that kind of goes without saying.
Bovril 214 Posted April 12, 2012 He''s been praising us ever since Paul Lambert took over, he definitely gave us a lot of praise in the Championship promotion year.Never liked him much as a player but he does seem to talk sense most of the time as a pundit. The exact same could be said about Gary Neville too. Maybe as recently retired players they are quicker and more able to analyse the modern game better then those that had careers during the Liverpool hey-day. The above does not apply to Alan Shearer who vice versa I liked as a player but is a shocking pundit.
