ollio 0 Posted April 13, 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17702751 Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has warned Saturday''s game against Norwich could be harder than the Manchester derby. City will cut Manchester United''s lead at the top of the table to two points if they win at Carrow Road. "United is easy," he said. "We could lose or we could win, but it is easy. "Against United or Chelsea, our concentration will be 100%. Norwich will be tough because we have had two days to recover after West Brom."Translation: Man City are worried! Jacko 0 Posted April 13, 2012 I think he has actually got a point. A game 2 days after the West Brom match and a long trip to Norfolk against one of the less glamourous sides in the league. It might be harder to motivate some of the players for this one. A Manchester derby takes care of itself really.
crabbycanary 2 Posted April 13, 2012 Lets not let Mancini kid ourselves here. It is the same timescales from a Europa Cup game on a Thursday to a Sunday prem fixture (2 1/2 days)The distances they travel from Europe back home, and then to possibly, an away Prem game far outstrip the distances from Manc land to Norfolk, and the chances are they may well fly down. He''s just doing the mind games, as he tried to do earlier in the week, saying that 5 points is impossible to claw back from United
lake district canary 0 Posted April 13, 2012 A repeat of the Tottenham performance will be required - however it is not a given that we can reproduce that every week. The effort required to beat ManChitty will be greater - not because they are necessarily better than Tottingham, but simply the psychology of winning like we did on Monday will be harder to recreate. Therefore, we have to try and disregard what happened on Monday and not get carried away. Sure we have a great chance to beat them, but we will need a supreme effort to do so. As for Mancini, he looks as if he is like a fish out of water. What he knew from working abroad plainly hasn''t helped him that much in the premiership and he is on as big a learning curve as we are. He has had to alter his principles and to be honest doesn''t look that tactically astute. He has relied on his players to get him through and as we have seen he hasn''t always been able to do this - its down to his prima donna players. If they decide to turn up it will be a difficult game. If they don''t and we can blow them out of the water - much like we did against Tottenham - we could win quite easily. Roll on Saturday! Roll on Saturday![/quote]Mancini looks exactly the same now as he did when at Inter - just like Inter his squad is much better than everyone elses, but unlike when he was there his main rivals haven''t been relegated to a lower division due to match fixing. And he never had to face an opposition like Man U who are relentless. Mancini''s track record is actually fairly poor, never did anything in Europe with Inter and won a weak league realing from the aftershocks of match fixing.
