Gingerpele 0 Posted February 25, 2012 When I was looking at train ''season tickets'' the other day, for a different season, (and not in east anglia) they only had month long (and longer) ones. If they don''t do them, get a rail card, pretty good discount.
barclaystand 0 Posted February 26, 2012 I''ve got one. It''s only valid on NCFC first team home matchdays. You save quite a bit on the cost of buying tickets on the day, and of course you miss the mid-season price rises. Season ticket prices are more regulated too which helps keep them better value. They also save all the queueing at the barrier in Norwich station to buy a ticket because the conductor didn''t get to you on the train. They were quite well publicised by both the club and ''one anglia'' as was the train operator back then.Once the trains changed to National Express East Anglia they never really advertised them much, you had to trawl through the depths of their website to find any mention at all.It was then quite awkward to buy them, couldn''t do it online and after NXEA cutbacks the regular telesales team didn''t know anything about them. Eventually after several calls I was told that you had to call their business season ticket sales number, and have got one fairly easily most years since. You might get someone on the phone who hasn''t heard of them, just be persistant and tell them there is such a ticket! Not sure how it will be for next season with Greater Anglia now being the train operator. The tickets usually go on sale a few weeks or so before the start of the season. Not sure if you can buy one now for just part of the season. The NXEA business number was 0845 600 7245 (option3) when I got this years ticket. I don''t know if Greater Anglia has the same number or a new one.
