swjf50 0 Posted March 15, 2012 I''d field the following to start, how about you?RuddyNaughton Ayala or Bennett Whitbread DruryFox HowsonPilkington Hoolahan SurmanHolt or Morrison or I''d go with the same back 4 and play 442 with 2 strikers and drop Hoolahan to the bench. priceyrice 123 Posted March 15, 2012 Well this is going to get merged with the other thread.I don''t think there is any need to try new formations now, although i realise it''s just an adaption of the 4 5 1. lets go 4 4 2 and get some balls into the box
I am a Banana 0 Posted March 15, 2012 RuddyNaughton Ward(unless Ayala fit) Whitbread DruryFox Crofts Benno, Hooly, Pilks, Moro
Salopian 1 Posted March 16, 2012 Whatever the squad, I suspect that PL will start with one striker (- fit again Morison?), with Wes ,Surman, Howson, behind him, and with two wingers. He is a little more defensively minded aginst good teams away from home, and he will want a four man midfield. But he is full of surprises!
DOGGER 0 Posted March 16, 2012 I would go 3-5-2 Ruddy Whitbread Bennett WardBennett Howson Johnson Pilkington Wessi Holt Morison

priceyrice 123 Posted March 16, 2012 Simpson and tiote doubts for the Toon- can only be good news. I really fancy us against newcastle, they don''t have too much pace and i think thier style suits us. Bring on the 3 points

Bovril 219 Posted March 17, 2012 Newcastle Strengths = Middle of the park (Tiote and Cabaye) and Powerful upfront (Ba, Cisse)Newcastle Weaknesses = Fullbacks (Simpson, Santon)Tactics = Play an extra midfielder in the centre to stop the balls being played to the front two and attack down their wings exposing their fullbacksFormation = 4-5-1 RuddyNaughton R Bennett Whitbread Drury Howson Fox SurmanE Bennett Pilkington MorisonSubs: Steer, Ward, Martin, Johnson, Hoolahan, Jackson, Holt
