The most inexplicable decision

Leaving Grant Holt out completely.

 

Did one of the twenty six thousand at the ground today agree with it?

 

Does anybody on this Board?

 

Please don''t give me the usual ''look where we were two years ago bit'' as I''m one of PL''s biggest supporters.

 

A totally bum dedision is just that, totally bum.

 

Can anybody come up with a reason for that decision, and indeed the line-up today for that matter? Are there any apologists for that utter nonsense?

 

This post is born out of absolute disappointment, that''s all. Tomorrow will be better.

For me Holt is the heartbeat of the club and his desire, presence and ability was badly missed today!

 

Considering we aren''t playing for another 8 days resting Holt was a strange decision!

The fans are the heartbeat. Without the fans they club dies, without holt the club lives on.

Exactly, I heard canary call after the game and people were saying that Holt wouldn''t have made any difference to the result, he would, Holt instead Morison and we would have won in my opinion, for starters Holt would have ran more than 30 yards, but more importantly he is our club captain and certainly would have got the others going.

Any player in any game can get injured, but  why are they at the Club? To play football.

Easy, Lambert has stated in no uncertain terms that the league is his priority. It''s his call.

At the end of the day, it''s us, the fans who want the romance of the cup. Lambert and the players have not been supporters of Norwich for 30 years. They have no investment as such, no emotional attachment. The cup exit will be forgotten by 3pm on Saturday and they know it too well. It still sucks though.

Seems team for this games have motivation problems and with Holt or without we may be can loose again but at least with proper keeper + Holt if we loose I can feel better saying we at least try et etc

Now what happen our pride club who have disaster record during years at FA cup give up only 2 games from the final and why?

Yes - I don''t want to block up this post with my entire answer, but I think I gave a reasonable rationale for it in this post : FA Cup vs Premier League

 

Regarding your specific point, I suspect, amongst other considerations that have been discussed to death, that he wasn''t even put on the bench to see if anybody else was prepared to step up to the plate and try and replace / emulate his total commitment. We know the answer! If he was on the bench, then the effort level may well have been higher by certain individuals, but I saw this as a big chance for some players to prove themselves. Unfortunately, it has shown that whilst we may have a number of leaders on the pitch, they don''t / can''t lead if GH isn''t in the squad. Make of that what you will, but I find it quite disturbing! Hopefully, Howson can fill the gap, but it shows just how much Holt is needed by the team, squad, PL and the Club.
