If we stay up and leeds don''t go up i think we will go in for him, you could probably get him for £2m less in the summer than they would want now.

We will be fine this season 4 more wins is all we need we have the like of Bolton and Wigan at home to come so don''t see it being an issue.

[/quote]His contract expires in June....2013.But taking the hypothetical situation that it was this Summer the point of buying now would be to get ahead of everyone else, if his contract was expiring this Summer they''d be loads of clubs willing to take him on a free, but if you''re willing to pay a million or two, you still get a bargain price and you won''t be competing with anywhere near as many clubs.

The other way to pick up a player in January whose contract ends in the summer when you may not essentially want him for a while (planning for next season and new tactics etc.) is to buy him, then loan him back to the selling club for the rest of the season, perhaps splitting the costs for the rest of the season.  Not sure if Snoddy would be the sort of player you''d create a new team system around but if his contract doesn''t end ''til 2013 all hypotehetical anyway.

Those games won''t be easy by any means.  Wigan and Bolton have won more away than at home, notably Bolton who have won 4 times away and only once at home.
