Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 17, 2012 Was a decent squad player as Simon Lappin has been but we were a really poor side as a whole under Roeder/Gunn, so he was considered a failure.
Gerry Harrison 2 Posted January 17, 2012 Had a few off the pitch problems, but did score against the scum at Carrow Road! Interesting to see how he gets on at Leeds.
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted January 17, 2012 I see the natives are restless and some now want Larry to go. The club have pretty much been on an upward curve since he arrived but the expectations demand more already. I hope he remembers to shut that door behind him.. canary_bird 0 Posted January 17, 2012 Perhaps it''s just me, but I thought he was pretty awful.
grantroederdisaster 0 Posted January 17, 2012 I thought Matt Pattison was one of the few signings made by Roeder who was really worth the effort! Plenty of effort and energy, although presumably cause Roeder signed him Pattison was very proRoeder which seemed to freeze him out when the great man was finally sacked! Would do a reasonable squad job in the Championship although I suspect League 21 would be his true standard cause his football abilities didn''t match his energy levels, though not as bad as the infamous headless chicken Hughes! shiplee15 0 Posted January 17, 2012 I really liked Pattison! I thought he was decent player and was disappointed to see him go. Wasn''t amazing but worked. And in response to grantroederdisaser... I fail to see the hatred everyone has for Hughes. Again, not amazing but he worked and worked which is what you want.

He was a tryer, had a bit of talent. I quite liked him as a player.

Beauseant 0 Posted January 17, 2012 He was a bit impetuous but had a big heart and always gave 100%. I liked the lad and good luck to him.
a1canary 0 Posted January 17, 2012 Does show you where the "Mighty Leeds" are at right now when this is the level they''re shopping at! Shouldn''t laugh really, we''ve been there, bought that t-shirt...

norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted January 17, 2012 Pattison was one of the most dedicated footballers in England during his time with us. So much so, that on one occasion and whilst severely hungover, he even managed to get himself to training on time wearing only his underpants because he didn''t have the time to put his tracksuit bottoms on. I''d have him back here in a flash[;)]

Where in my post did I say I hated Hughes??????? For the record I respected Hughes for his 110% effort, total commitment and athleticism. Unfortunately his football ability was ropey at best although I''d rather have a Hughes than a lightweight or some over rated youngster out of the academy whos out of his depth and scared to get stuck in! Pattison was certainly than the Norwich U11B division!
Hardhouse44 289 Posted January 17, 2012 I think he epitomized everything that was wrong with the club at the time. A play that was capable of the odd good passage of play the occasional good cross. Some huff and puff but no consistency.A good squad player in a team of good squad players. One bad game in Ten is what we get now from our players back then it was one good game in ten. He is a reminder of how poor we were and how far we''ve come.

Mister Chops 7 Posted January 17, 2012 They were telling us Bradley Johnson was a pretty ordinary holding midfielder, so let''s see how they feel now they''ve given a very ordinary holding midfielder a trial.Still, allegedly turning up p*ssed for training, wearing only his pants, was a highlight. As was the 2nd goal against the Binners after Lee Croft''s 25 yarder., though Matty Patty was about 2 yards out and still nearly shinned it over the bar. To be fair to Pattison, he could never be faulted on effort and commitment which is more than can be said for some of the others.
Syteanric 1 Posted January 18, 2012 Hughes, Pattison, fotheringham, Robinson, Crofts.... a midfield to make any opposition laugh at us.. no wonder we were sh*te!I remember people on thsi board blaming Dunston hall for Letting Matt Fattison, a grown man and in charge of his own actions, get in his car when over the limit and get caught...I also remember the fans giving him a "hero''s" applause in the next game when he was subbed.. for being a drink driver.... B****ks to Pattison.. i hope it doesnt work out for him at leeds or in professional football in general.
