Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted January 28, 2012 Lambert appears to be looking to continue the Ayala/Whitbread combination - he must see this as our best pairing. It looks like we will go at WBA early and try to get a goal or two then defend. Massive confidence boost by the manager to Steer who could come on at any stage of a EPL game so great management for me. If we can''t win today I would happily take a defeat with no injuries. Herman 11,181 Posted January 28, 2012 Giving Mori a rest. Not a bad idea. And good to see Steer get a game.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted January 28, 2012 Forgot to add, this appears to confirm the impression in the Chelsea game that Morison is exhausted and needs a rest.
Gingerpele 0 Posted January 28, 2012 Morison appeared to be exhausted against Everton, Spurs and Fulham according to many, he can''t still be, unless he has an underlying injury problem.Decent team, good to see the 4-2-3-1 back, shows Lambert still has various tactics/formations he''s confidant to use. Ayala and Whitbread could very well be our CB pairing for a few years to come.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 28, 2012 Steer might have to come into a Premier League game at some point. He may be good enough but its good management to give him a taste of it beforehand.

Pyro Pete 2,395 Posted January 28, 2012 Good chance for Steer today. Hope he isn''t kept too busy though.
AJ 1,377 Posted January 28, 2012 Good chance to get a taste of Steer today, hopefully all goes well!! I think Moro might be carrying a knock or something, he really struggled in the last game or so. Glad to see him rested, but surprised that Vaughan isn''t on the bench!

Gingerpele 0 Posted January 28, 2012 What? Are you saying we don''t?
Gingerpele 0 Posted January 28, 2012 You don''t even have to watch games to know that, just look at the possession stats, when you have a lower possession pretty much every game.... It means your sitting back to an extent, we are quite happy to invite teams to attack us, then hit them on the counter.
Bill 1,788 Posted January 28, 2012 There''ll be a few for of the whingers and whiners upset tonight.... the usual rabble who were predicting the end of the world if we didn''t sign a ''back up'' keeperJed Steer had a very good game by the sounds of it
shefcanary 3,096 Posted January 28, 2012 Now have three good goalies. Having watched the Posh highlights Joe Lewis had another shocker! No need to worry about No.1 position.
