Dirty Harry has his eye on Morison

Recommended Posts

No chance of PL selling any players. Unlike previous ncfc managers and other clubs, PL does have final say on all incomings and outgoings, I suspect.

Well . . . As much as I know Morison has settled well and is happy here, if Spurs do come in with an offer, he will definitely go without hesitating.

Morison started off in their academy and was rejected at a young age by them, so in his mind he has unfinished business and a point to prove there. This is what I was told by his dad, whom I work with in North London.

Just hope Lambert and the board have the bottle to reject any possible advances or hold out for a nice figure . . . no less than £8 mil I say.

And then move quickly for Snoddy.

Apparently (again from gossip pages) they are in for Carroll first, if that fails they will then look at Morison. What ever Carroll is worth... Morison is worth double!

Morison has scored some important goals since coming here, but he really isn''t a Spurs player. I''d be very very surprised if they tried to buy him.

Moro has linked up well with Bale at international level so why shouldn''t he fit in at Spurs?

I suspect there is something in this and perhaps Moro has been left out of the squad for more than physical fatigue.

Whether he wants to go or not, speculation is unsettling so perhaps PL is keeping Moro away from things at present?

If he wants to go to Spurs then he will have to be let go, that''s a fact of life, but a nice disproportionate January window fee could be a bonus especially if a replacement is lined up.

It seems to me only a few Clubs need to make permanent signings in this window - those with something to avoid (relegation) and those with something to gain (top four). Spurs definately fit into the latter and Moro would give them options up front.

Moro has done a great job here, especially as the lone striker while Holty was adjusting and the defence shortage required us to stock the midfield. He is a major factor in us being where we are. I''d like him to stay but I''m not going to criticise him if he decided to go to Spurs because he hasn''t let us down and it would be a great move for him.

These are the problems of doing well.

@Jewish Cowboy

If Spurs offered £10m for Morison then yes I think that''s a no brainer. £10m is about £5m more than he''s worth right now in my opinion, so yeah that would be good business.

Not going to happen though.

Fair enough, but would you take £10m if it was offered?
[/quote]

Completely hypothetical, JC, but if Harry offered a no strings cash deal of 10 mill, yes, I''d jump at it .

Do not think Morro (or anyone else) will move out tomorrow , but would not be surprised if someone like Spurs offered big dosh in the summer, particularly if he keeps on improving his game at the current rate.

If an offer was a good one-and the majority upfront, no "...and we''ll pay ''x'' if Steve walks on Mars before 2017..." crap then yes, of course, take it and move on.

Morison will be ambitious and we can''t match what Spurs could next season-CL football at the very least for starters.

There''s plenty that would see coming here as good a step up to make for them, as he would moving from here to Tottenham. But would think if anything is going to happen, then yes, it won''t be until the Summer.

And yes he is very honest and up front ins''t he, Listen Harry, How many goals has Torres or Caroline score''d, It cost £85 million for the pair of them, so £60mil might just get PL to think about it before he tells you "NO TALKING FROM THE DOCK"

With all due respects......

A couple of simple things should put this into perspective.....

1) Holt and Morison''s goals will play a contributary factor to us staying in this league. Neither the board nor the manager will allow anything to destabalise that situation.

2) We seem to be looking up in awe at the great Harry, the great Spurs........ Whilst I respect Mr Redknapp, this is the same great Harry who hopped about between two fierce rival clubs (Pompey & Saints), has been great at staving off relegation for Pompey and is now entering the unfamiliar territory of Top 6 clubs. At the sametime, Spurs is also entering the unfamiliar territory of being a top 6 club - if memory serves me correctly, the last time they were in such lofty surroundings was during their "double winning" season in the 60''s.

As an addendum to 2), we have had a higher finish than Spurs in the Premier League.

One thing that did concern me about the Rhodes rumour (which I know isn''t true) was that if it did have foundation, it probably means we have a player wanting to leave, which I don''t think any of our players do want to leave.
