Canaries Utd 0 Posted February 1, 2012 Snodgrass? Who knows, will Lambert ever let on? or will he keep quiet and try again in the summer?
ROBFLECK 134 Posted February 1, 2012 Imo he''ll try again in the summer, he''s done a great bit of bussiness now and he''s kept the great Grant Holt at Carrow Road! We can''t ask for more can we? I''m confident more players will come to NCFC if we stay in the PL. We''re doing great and I don''t think splashing out like QPar*e will buy them certain safety. Our team spirit is high and Paul Lambert has bought players who''ll keep it high! OTBC

Gingerpele 0 Posted February 1, 2012 Bethnal (who''s in the know) mentioned it on twitter, not sure if he did on here or not... (He said Ryo was one of Lambert''s irons, if Bolton had of signed Zaha.....)If we already spent £3 or so million on Bennett, I doubt it would have been Snodgrass, that would have been another £3 or so million.... Gingerpele 0 Posted February 1, 2012 Its @BethnalYGThis was his tweet about Miyaichi''As I understand it; one of Lambert''s ''irons'' was Miyaichi. If the deal to Bolton fell through Norwich were looking to go for it.''
Canaries Utd 0 Posted February 1, 2012 It just amazes me that so many people write so much crap. If half the rumours were to be believed we''d have a new starting eleven tonight. Although I do quite enjoy the occassion.
Bethnal Yellow and Green 2,424 Posted February 1, 2012 That is what I heard about Miyaichi, but so much rubbish is said on transfer deadline day I always take these things with a pinch of salt. Arsenal offered young Ryo to pretty much everyone on very favourable terms (no fee, no wage contributions, just pay an insurance fee incase he gets injured) - Bolton were their first choice though due to the success players like Sturridge, Wilshere and to a lesser extent Kakuta had. Salopian 1 Posted February 1, 2012 I suspect that it was a striker. PL let Martin continue away, (do we have the power of re-call?), and we are left with four possible strikers plus Wilbraham. If Vaughan breaks down again, we have only three, and if Holt or Morison were to be injured or suspended, the cupboard would be bare.
CambridgeCanary 0 Posted February 1, 2012 Yes there is a lot of crap but also, Last January we were heavily linked with Elliot Bennett and Steve Morison.

I suppose ultimately, I agree with your sentiments, but a bit of idle speculation is always a bit of fun, and a harmless way of spending a cold January evening ..... In the end , it was all a bit of a non-event, after all the "rumours " of Holt''s exit, and us signing Rhodes, Snodgrass, Maynard, and, for all I know, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. On a serious note though, our lack of activity in the market just goes to show what a strong, well knit squad PL has assembled here. The fact is that most of Jan 31 moves are panic buys , and Lambert has clearly decided that there is no need to go in for any of that sort of stuff. With the possible exception of Spurs, it''s interesting to see that most of the clubs who are doing well have resisted the temptation to join in . all the activity has been from the likes of Bolton, QPR, Wolves etc , who are desperate for a change in fortune. norfolkchance1 0 Posted February 1, 2012 I just wonder whether whether we were close to Snodgrass. Lambert seems to be persistant with his chases and considering we tried last summer it would seem odd not to go again. There was a report last night that said there were two premier league clubs ready to make a bid, Blackburn apparently was one.Makes you wonder whether the fact there was a Leeds game last night scuppered things or was he just out of our price range and better a wait to the summer once Leeds have failed to go up again and he moves into his final year. There was also talk of a transfer request, no confirmation whether this was right or wrong.Only thing now though if he wants to go and Leeds have no chance of promotion they could loan him to West Ham when loan window opens with a view to a permanent move in summer. As they seemed to be one of clubs linked as well.
