Ryan Bennet signs for £3.2million new club record!

Recommended Posts

did this go through?

2250: Time running out for these deals to go through. Norwich are close signing highly-rated Peterborough full-back Ryan Bennett, and BBC Sport understands he will be loaned back to Posh for rest of the season. They''d better hurry up though...

Another solid highly rated young defender, been too long since we made positive signings like this. Almost don''t recognise our club!

Someone''s tweeted that we''re loaning back for a month only? Also beat Swansea? Love it even more if that''s true. Shows he''s highly regarded if other Prem teams after him

Marvin, Bennett is a centre half, not a full back!
Does this mean we won''t be after Naughton any more ?
Apparently we didn''t try to make him perm again after initial attempt. Still got him until end of season and he''s playing awesome so all good. May just come to us anyway if we keep doing well and he obviously enjoys his football here. They are also different positions apparently Bennett is CB whereas Naughts is obviously a wing-back

Off the POSH msg board"Bennett to Norwich being confirmed, but we retain on loan until for

initially a month. We also get a young centre half from them I

understand. Fee £3 mill.??"Wonder who we''re giving them on loan if true..? Also mention of the intial month only so that''s good if we need him after a month we can still play him here.

Quite right too! We already have Naughton until the end of the season, why spend the limited transfer kitty we have now on something which won''t strengthen the existing squad? I obviously want him here permanently, but it makes much more sense to spend the current money elsewhere and then worry about Naughton in June, by which time Spurs will hopefully have signed someone else too and therefore no longer need him!

Confirmed in tweet by official ncfc account "City have signed Peterborough''s England U-21 central defender Ryan Bennett in a 3.5-year deal for an undisclosed fee, subject to paperwork"

Absolutely fantastic - Class signing, I have a hunch that Bennett and Ayala will be our central defensive partnership for a long time to come - No offence to Whitbread, but it''s exciting to have two young, super-talented stars in the making there!

This guy is good.( someone''s updated his Wikipedia page already ! )He was signed by Peterborough for around £500,000. Bearing in mind the differences in our budgets they wouldn''t have spent that kind of money if he wasn''t a bit special. He''s won MOTM at Posh many times since.May not be the bargain Russell Martin has turned out to be but worth the money. He recently was called up to the England U21 squad and I''ll be surprised if he doesn''t make the senior squad in time.Looks we''ve kissed and made up with Posh over the CMS affair....
