That's how to sing an old footie song

Recommended Posts

Great example last night by Spurs fans of how to sing an old football song. Why, when we sing OTBC is it so rushed? It''s almost as if we are embarrassed to sing it and can''t wait to get to the end!! If we are going to sing it let''s slow it down and let it roll round the ground.

Yes - i''m over 40, an old git but not a Spurs or Ipswich supporter.

As we were leaving I said to the missus how nice it was to hear proper singing from the terraces, albeit a shame we didn''t get a result to keep the Spurs fans quiet.

TBH did not hear them on sky till they scored thought city fans were superb even why it was obvious we would not get a result. Even the biased commentators said how good the city fans were at Carrow Road.

Spot on Ricky. They made absolutely sod all noise until they scored.

To OP, I do agree though. Would be great to hear the whole of Carrow Road singing OTBC in the traditional way at the right pace and "Hurrah we''ve scored a goal." Not "Hurrahwusca!"

They only sung once they were in the lead and isn''t that song they were singing borrowed from Celtic? (yes and so is that gay anthem ''just can''t get enough)

That chimp song our lot were singing was just embarrassing, and as for some bell-end in the Snakepit trying to start a chant of ''Norwich reject'' when Scott Parker was subbed - give me strength1
