BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted January 2, 2012 The second half of the season will bring us 19 reverse fixtures. Will Paul Lambert & Co. have sussed out the opposition players and tactics better than they have sussed out us? Will the NCFC Board get in what is now the traditonal additional help for the lads to move thecClub on that Lambert has requested? If so, will they be 1st, 2nd or 3rd choices......? Will Lambert be fortunate enough to get in a gamechanger like Huckerby, Crouch or Ashton? Or a Martin O''Neil or Martin Peters come to think of it? Gingerpele 0 Posted January 2, 2012 I would say the second half of the season is a lot easier than it could have been, because of the 22 points picked up in the first half. It could have easily been a lot less, we have a nice cushion over Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan, who don''t really look like they have the ability to get consistent results to make up that gap, and then we also have other teams below us who really are probably going to pick up less points that us.Its all in our hands now, in terms of home/away fixtures, I think we have harder home games to come in a way, but we still have Bolton and Wigan to play at home, as well as a few other we could be beating.I think we will stay up even if we don''t sign anyone, but an extra player or too just to add some more strength in depth to the squad, a bit of competition in the wings would be nice.I don''t think we have anything to worry about, we may very well end up only staying up by a couple of points, but we will do that at the very least baring any major disasters. "A little help..." is short for straight into the matchday squad. No point in buying third choice players when we have enough of them already.
Pompey_88 0 Posted January 2, 2012 QPR backed there manager with funds and they have ferdinand and barton on 60k + a week. I, for one would not want those kind of players at our football club.

I was referring to the list of desired/required players that Paul Lambert handed to the Board recently for acquisition this month. Presumably the list is ranked with various forms of priority. whoareyou? 0 Posted January 3, 2012 Lambert said in interview yesterday that he didn''t think there were many players left outside the Premier League that were good enough for what he wanted.Sounds like we are looking a bit higher now.
