ryan1992 0 Posted January 3, 2012 Just about every thread on here for the past 2 days is about how much they hate us! It''s hilarious http://www.qprdot.org When A team is this much hated by a League rival, it shows we are doing something right. We are getting in oppositions faces and not just making the numbers up. Although the football style is different from them, it''s simillar to how Stoke survived their first year or 2. Nobody liked them as they didnt give anybody the respect they wanted, it''s what we are doing, and will ultimately keep us in the League. Compared to the ''nice, little old Norwich'' mantra we had last time in this League, it''s a one million times better approach to take. Well done to Lambert, Mcnally the players and fans, we are losing friends from around the country, but look where we are in the table! Loving it!!
Bill 1,788 Posted January 3, 2012 "we are losing friends from around the country"Are we ? I would very much doubt it. My understanding from fans of other clubs is they have a positive view of the way we play - as do much of the media. To compare us to Stoke is to demean the clubs standards and Lamberts playing ethos. We are giving back no more than what is given to us.If QPR had won yesterday non of this would be ''news''. That it is ''news'' says more about the undignified behaviour of Barton and the lies spouted by Warnock - someone who is fast becoming a professional victim. It was Van Persie the game before and Bradley Johnson this time. Lets hope he takes the footage of Johnson falling over to the appeal as I''m certain new evidence is always crucial in legal disputes. ryan1992 0 Posted January 3, 2012 This isn''t a negative thread for God''s sake! I didn''t say we play like Stoke, I said we don''t care what people think of us and don''t give up as soon as we go 1-0 down, ala Stoke. QPR have always hated us since we stopped them from winning Div 1 in the 70''s (and when I say teams all round the country I don''t just mean this season) sides like Leeds don''t like us. You very rarely hear people say nowadays that Norwich is a nice little family club who play nice football and it''s nice to visit Carrow Road etc do you, we are now considered and treated like a tough side to beat with a squad full of players who would die for the cause and won''t back out of a challenge. We used to respect opposition too much, now we get in their faces and don''t let them breath. Yes, we aren''t ''hated'' by many sides, but we aren''t seen as an easy ride who will fall apart as soon as we concede a goal, we are now more feared and that''s a good thing!
