spencer 1970 214 Posted November 19, 2011 We were beaten by the better team today and by one of the most in-form strikers on the planet by a single goal.Ok, there were a few dodgy ref decisions and r.martin threw a spanner in the work losing the ball like that but he did save us with the clearance as did Ruddy on many occasions.If out staying up depends on beating Arsenal then I''m a Welshman.It was only 1-2 so the result AND the performance was better than last time in the prem against them IMO.RMartin has been a revelation at centre back but I for one would like one of the other real centre backs to regain fitness so he can have another go in his own position as I think we''ve all just accepted he''s not a right back anymore and if you wanted to single out one bad performance in a yellow shirt, i''d put all my chips on Naughton,,,very poor today, as he was as villa away. curly_whirly_tipz 0 Posted November 19, 2011 I agree - It goes without saying that Arsenal have a very strong squad and Van Persie is on fire! I am pleased to have only lost by 1 goal. I feel sorry for Martin I bet he is gutted having been so solid for the whole game and then one mistake cost us.Although Arsenal were the better team, we did show a lot of character.
