Away game club travel routine

Recommended Posts

From the moment you come to the coach until you step out at the away game to the ground...do they check tickets and things, do you have set seats, does the coach stop en route, are you allowed to roam once at the ground and when do they leave after the game..?

the coaches usually stop at a service station on the way there and back.

they will check for your coach travel ticket

you can go on any coach and sit where you like, that is your seat for the entire day, must remember coach number for when returning to your coach (service station/after game) numbers displayed on front of coach.

usually arrive at the ground with about 1 hour- 1 hour and a half before kick off, you can go off wherever you like.

after the game just make sure you return to your coach not too long after. enough time to stick around after the final whistle and get out the ground.

enjoy!

"do you have set seats"

you may not, but others (regulars) certainly will have

sit in ''their'' seats at your peril !

When coming back from Villa our coach did not stop but I was glad to get quicker tbh. The coach does have some advantages as sometimes police escort coaches out so people is cars take ages to get out (like at Villa)

No, they only check your coach ticket on the way out.

However it sounds like you are trying to get a coach ticket without a match ticket, they won''t sell you a coach ticket unless you have a valid match ticket (in the away end).

If you''re after one of the free bus tickets to Wolves, without buying a ticket for the away end from NCFC then I''d say you''re out of luck.I guess your ''friend'' will have to get there by whatever means he/she was going to use before the free travel was announced.Phone the ticket office for the definitive answer though.

No, they don''t, and it is against the law - the club and the coach company can get fined if any alcohol is found onboard, and potentially the coach can be turned round sent home if the police see fit (though I''m not sure this has actually happened).  I''m pretty sure people can cope without alcohol for a few hours, though.

make sure you get a coach with a toilet (if you are like me you need it) and dont sit at the back near the "lads" unless you can resist the urge to punch them all in the face.
